"Daddy, look what I found!"
Y/N runs joyfully into her father's arms, her hands outstretched and filled with a seashell like any other that she had found before. But this one was different. Her eyes drift to the shell, fascinated by its perfection in her child eyes. The light catches the seashell, its iridescent sparkles shimmering like little stars, its beauty captivating Y/N's attention. She gazes up at her father, her smile filled with joy and wonder.
"What is it my darling?" The red-haired man asks warmly, his bright smile filling Y/N with a sense of comfort and happiness. Despite the many seashells she has brought him over the years, he still treats each new one as if it were the first, delighting in Y/N's joy and happiness.
"Yes, but this one is special," she says, her voice filled with excitement as she jumps into his lap, eagerly handing him the seashell. "This one shines so bright in the light. It's glittery!"
"Is it now?" The man asks, his tone filled with fascination as he raises the seashell to the sun to examine it. "Well, I suppose you're right. It is very shiny, glittery too. Where ever did you find this, little one?"
Y/N nods at his comment, looking up at the man before turning her attention to the sound of a voice on the deck above. "Boss, we finished loading the last bit of supplies onto the ship," says a man, his tone filled with pride and excitement. "Barrells are secure, and the ship is ready to sail."
"Well, we better get a start on that, shouldn't we?" The red-haired man responds, giving the seashell back to his daughter as he rises to his feet. Y/N, having climbed off his lap, is clearly disappointed by his response. "Daddy, you're leaving already?" she asks, a pleading tone in her voice. "I thought you weren't leaving for another two days."
The man lowers himself to Y/N's level, grasping one of her tiny hands as he gives her a warm smile. "I know what I said," he says gently, his voice filled with understanding. "And we were supposed to leave in two days, but plans have changed. It's only a week's venture, Y/N. I will be back shortly." He pauses to meet her gaze, his expression sincere and soothing. "Just going to collect some very important treasures for the town," he adds, "and its people."
"Why can't I come along?" Y/N whines in childish frustration. "You always take me with you."
The red-haired man sighs, his tone gentle yet firm as he responds to his daughter's pleas. "We're traveling over very rough waters, little one," he explains with concern for Y/N's safety. "Wouldn't want you to get hurt, now would I?"
"But I don't want to be alone." Y/N states with a whine-filled tone, her expression shifting from disappointment to sadness as her pleas fall on unheeding ears.
Her father pauses for a moment, his expression softening as a sweet smile spreads across his face. "You won't be alone," he says gently. "You have Makino."
A new voice calls out, the young boy's question drawing the attention of everyone around. "And me! Where are you going, Shanks?"
"And you have Luffy," Shanks responds, breaking into a hearty laugh as he calls Luffy over to them. Luffy walks over to Y/N and Shanks, his arms folded. "How could we forget?" Shanks says, his tone full of amusement. "And I'm afraid I cannot answer you're question this time, Luffy."
