Chapter 1: First day of school!

Beep beep! Beep beep! 

Went Kates alarm, notifying her that it was... 

"ITS YOUR FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!" Yelled Yakko running into the room happily. He was so excited because today was Kates first day of 2nd grade "Aren't you excited!" He asked as he began to shake her to get her up. She groaned and threw the covers over her face. "It's your first day of school Cmon!" He exclaimed. "Go away." She said angrily. "But I thought you loved school!" Said Yakko, becoming less energetic than before. "I did..." she began, she now sat up in bed. "but now I don't want to!" She said laying back down and crossing her arms. Her bed head even messier than before. "But why?" Asked Yakko. "Because." She retorted, not relaying any more information.

"Because WHY?" Pried Yakko. "Because ok. Just because." She said, trying to shut him down once again "You can't just say because without saying why!" Said Yakko. He wanted an answer. If anyone was hurting her at school... oh boy were they going to get it! Kate sighed. "Because... the kids don't like me... remember?" Said Kate sitting back up again. "Honey, I know we are a different family but that doesn't mean that what they say is true!" Said Yakko rubbing her arm in reassurance. "But the boys yell at me! And the teachers do too!" Said Kate. "They WHAT? oh Im going to give them a piece of my mind!" Yelled Yakko.

"No! Please don't! It's fine... they just upset me. That's all." Said Kate looking down. "But you have your friend, Lucy?" Said Yakko. "Yeah I guess, one friend bug whoop." Said Kate. "Also she move away last year.." she said sadly. "Honey, please cheer up? We have to get going ok darling! You're going to have a great day I just know it!" He said giving her a kiss on the forehead. "Now cmon, I made us some pancakes!" Said Yakko patting her on the back. "Pancakes? You didn't tell me there were pancakes?!!" Cried Kate. Yakko laughed and smiled. "Well then we should get some before Wakko eats them all!" He cried. "Oh RIGHT!" Kate shouted running like A lightning bolt out to the kitchen. 

When she entered the kitchen she saw streamers, a sign and balloons all saying "first day of school!" Dot and Wakko wore party hats and were sitting at the table. Kate instantly looked back at Yakko with a surprised look on her face. "Yes this is all for you!" Said Yakko with a smile. "Do you... like it?" He asked hoping she'd say yes. "Do I like it? I LOVE IT! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!" She cried hugging Yakko, and then Dot and Wakko who were sitting at the table. She sat Down and Yakko came over with their pancakes. 

"Here you go!" He said placing them in front of Kate, Dot and Wakko. Kate smiled grandly as he had put whipped great and chocolate chips on top! "This is so awesome!" Cried Kate happily. Yakko sat down at the table and smiled. "So now do you want to go to school?" He asked. Kate looked down at her pancakes and then back at Yakko with a smile, "yeah.. I think so! I'm ready!" She said with a smile. "Alright, now let's dig in!" Wakko said licking his lips and chowing his pancakes down in seconds while everyone else just ate at a normal pace. Kate giggled as Wakko downed a 2nd plate of pancakes. He was a weird one, but the best big bro ever! 

"So, Kate... I picked out the perfect outfit for you to wear for school!" Said Dot with a smile. "Thanks Dot, but... I have to wear a uniform now... 2nd graders are required to." Said Kate sadly. "Aww man, well hey I can still do your hair as always!" Said Dot happily. Dot loved having a little sister, she always loved to do her hair and when she gets older she would do her makeup for her! "Ugh no I hate my hair being done, why can't I just have it in two pig tails like usual!" Said Kate with her arms crossed. She didn't always like being proper and primped like most little girls... or like Dot for that matter. 

"Oh cmon, don't you want to look pretty for your first day of school?" Said Yakko. "No I don't!" Kate said keeping her arms crossed angrily. "Pleaseee? I won't ever bug you about it again!" Pleaded Dot. "Oh.. alright fine!" Said Kate giving in. They finished their pancakes and Dot dragged Kate into her room to do her hair for her. "Ok, so I know you don't love doing elaborate styles but what if we pull part of it back into a braid!" Began Dot, "No." said Kate. "Oh alright then, what about... we pull part of it back and curl it?" Said Dot getting excited again. "No.." said Kate. "Ugh seriously? But you'll look do cute!" Dot said in a sad tone.
