**EVAN'S POV**
I looked around the Cafeteria, and caught a glimpse of a group of girls staring at me. I immediately locked my eyes with the blonde-haired girl and smirked at her.
Aha, I knew this girl! Her name was spoken of by every boy. Victoria White, wasn't it? 'She seems like a good target,' I thought as I slowly drank my coffee. I got up from my table, leaving my half-consumed coffee behind. I have to go tell father.
**VICTORIA'S POV**
Wait. Where did he go? I just took my eyes off him for a moment and now he's gone? I scanned the Cafeteria for a jet black head frantically. Nope, nothing. He was nowhere to be seen.
I looked at my two besties but they had already gotten over him and started gossiping with each other.
I looked away and stared into space. Evan Young sure was mysterious.
RINGGGGG!!!!!
The bell rang, snapping me out of my daze and signifying the start of Biology. 'Now I have to count down another 4 hours,' I thought silently. I slowly made my way to Biology class and settled down on a seat way behind, where Christy and I usually sat.
"Hey Christy could you-" I spoke as I turned to my right, thinking that it was Christy. Wait.
EVAN?!! He took one look at my astonished expression and started laughing. As soon as I realised that I was gaping at him, I blushed and closed my mouth.
Why did he have to look so cute when he laughed? No. Wait. 'What's wrong with me? I don't swoon over unpopular boys like him,' I scolded myself silently.
My internal debate was soon interrupted by Mr Robinson.
"Alright class, I'll be grouping all of you into threes for this new Biology project we have coming up. Okay so the groupings are..." Mr Robinson began.
"...Victoria, Christy and..."
"Evan." Mr Robinson ended.
"You may have the rest of the period to discuss about where to meet for your first meeting. Now, go, go!"
Christy made her way over to our table. "I thought you usually sat with me! Why did you-"
"Hey don't ask me, he chose to sit here!"
Christy and I both looked at him.
"Oh this is your seat? I'm sorry. You-"
"Oh no it's okay you can sit here." Christy replied in a honeyed voice.
What was happening to Christy? She would usually demand her seat back.
Christy quickly changed the topic before I could ask her anything. "Uh so let's meet at my house at 3?" Christy asked. Christy sure knows me well.
"Sure."
"Yeah, okay."
Evan and I said at the same time. Evan smirked at me as I turned my head to look at him. I realised that I was staring at him and immediately looked away, blushing. Stop it, Victoria! Get a grip over yourself.
You can't be seen swooning over a newbie. He's not even popular.**FAST FORWARD TO PROJECT MEETING IN CHRISTY'S ROOM**
"Hey Christy, mind getting me some cookies? I'm hungry." I whined. We had already been working on the project for an hour already!
Christy laughed. "Sure." Christy left the room, leaving me and Evan behind. Uh-oh. Wrong move. What if I stare at him again? He might get the wrong idea. I-
"So...let's continue?" I was soon interrupted by Evan's offer.
"Uh yeah sure."
Evan suddenly leaned towards me. "Maybe we should start on this." He whispered as he pointed towards the project sheet. I felt his breath on my neck as he spoke. Damn, why was he so hot?
"Um o-o-okay-y."
He laughed. "Don't worry, I won't try to do anything funny." Evan said in an amused tone. I didn't have to turn around to know that he was probably thinking that I was a weirdo.
Victoria White, a weirdo? No way! I can't give him this impression. I'm Victoria White, for goodness' sake! I took in a deep breath and turned around, facing him. My heart started beating fast but I quickly composed myself. "Well then let's continue with the project. Where were we?" I grinned.
