Suspicions

**VICTORIA'S POV**
Urgh, seriously?! Can't Rachel and Christy just-ARGH!!

I thought angrily as I waited for Evan to drive me home after school.

Where was he?

**EVAN'S POV**
After the last bell rang, I immediately went into The Dark Woods which was just a ten minutes' walk away from the school.

I ventured deeper and deeper into the woods, with the only sound being the occasional breaking of twigs when I stepped on them and a faint sound of a river with rushing waters.

I'm getting closer to the river.

No one has ever been this deep into The Dark Woods before.

Not after the rumours.

After walking for quite some time, I finally found the river.

Aha. There it was.

I stepped lightly on the stepping stones across the river in order until I landed up on the last stepping stone.

I waited for a moment before I was thrown into a rush of wind and bright light.

After a few moments of the exhilarating rush, the faint sound of people laughing and chattering filled my ears.

'Not people. Elfen.' I reminded myself.

I walked for a few minutes more until I finally reached the marketplace.

The folk smiled and gave me knowing looks when I strode past them, with an occasional "Your Highness."

I made my way to the castle which sat right on top of the hill.

Not long after, I was granted entry by the guards and found myself in the main hall.

"Father."

I greeted.

"Evan. How's it going?"

"Uh well...not according to plan. You see, I think Victoria White might not be as simple as she seems. I suspect she's trying to make me fall in love with her instead. I don't know why, but she may have something up her sleeve..."

"You see, Evan? Humans are not as stupid as you think."

"So what do I do now, father?"

"You make her fall in love with you first."
