A Mother In Pain

Nora had quickly learned all basics of maiden. She was order too stay in the kitchen until further notice which she even thought it was a good idea. But the what ifs started trolling her as she rubs her arm.
Then the daughters of Alcina came in as they told that Miranda and surprisingly; the other lords were heading up.

"Well shit, I think your uncle Karl might expose me after blocking his sharp objects." Nora began worrying more but Daniela came and gripped her shoulders.

"Don't worry, I think our Unlce wouldn't do that. Besides I think he hates her with all of his might." Daniela said which help a-little with Nora's worries, "Besides like Irene said, you'll be in the kitchen for the good portion of the night or something else too do." She reassures her by giving a hug.

Even Bela and Cassandra mention that they'll take her and make her clean the winery room. Which is an excuse of Nora not meeting Miranda and the other lords. She was cool with it but something's off and didn't know what it was...

Sometime later, Nora was helping the other maidens on making the meals for the lords. Which she saw the food, part of it was human flesh and other was normal. She never once actually see a human liver and other organs; seeing them was weird but thought it was cool seeing it in person.

"So Miss Pella where are you from?" A maiden ask and by that, everybody wonders too.

"I'm from United States. I was heading to a hotel for my vacation but that didn't turn out...car broke down as I got lost in woods. There I found Leon the dog as he brought me to the village..." Nora lies on the hotel part, "And now I'm here...working as a maiden..." Her chuckles sound nervous, "Anyways...is what you guys make everyday?" She change the subject.

The maidens nodded as it smelled horrible but Nora decided to change up the food for tonight's dinner. Everyone followed her orders while one maiden went to get a wine that would be excellent for the meal. Luckily the wine was in-stock which she tells to serve them that with the food. A bell was announce which meant that dinner is ready to be served.

"Let's hope the lords, Priestess Miranda and the Dimitrescu ladies like the food." Irene walks out with the trolley of food. While the maidens followed behind.

"Me too." Nora waves and gets back on cleaning the kitchen.

The room was quiet and empty. She heard the lords laughing and eating their foods. The Dimitrescu women were loud but that didn't bother Nora while cleaning. There she even sung a song too herself...

"Rest now, my love
It's alright.
The dark is gone
I'm here
I hold you..."

She rarely sang at all, especially thing song that brought a memory. It was deep in her core brain...

"Rest now, your heart
It's all right
Although you're gone
I'll be here to hold you
I've got you..."

She held a necklace that was in her pocket when she came here. It was her only thing left of someone...

"Will you breathe through me?
And calm the storm inside
Just breathe through me
We'll keep the fires alight
I'll face down the world with you..."

Without realizing, one of the maidens was standing with the door open. Everyone heard Nora sing as her face with completely and deep red of embarrassment. She shallows hards and runs her back of her neck...

"Mistress has order you to come out and explain yourself about the dish you had prepared." She tells as Nora walks over, "Good singing by the way." She whispers too her which Nora thanks her.
