Sly Loser and The Cold Blooded Princess (Wonbin)

Chapter 4

       The trio stayed silent and chose to eat silently instead. Eunseok knew that Jaelyn wanted to talk to them both. It's hard because of Sungchan. She has been in misery for years and still didn't get to talk about it properly.

Someone needs to break the silence.

"That Park Wonbin guy is not that bad. It's just that he loves every girl in the university. I don't want you to love him because when you love someone, you do. You already have a lot on your plate. So, don't even think about him", Sungchan said as he put down his cutleries.

"Sungchan. I just want to break the ice between us. I'm not going serious about that Wonbin guy at all. I'm amazed by his work, that's all. About my love life or anything, I know how to handle it now. If he's a sensitive topic, then I won't talk about him anymore" said Jaelyn with a heavy heart. Indeed she has a lot on her plate. But this Wonbin guy entering her life and messing with her plan sounds weird to her.

She only talks about him being perfect but Sungchan and Eunseok hate the idea.

But the main thing she wants to tell them is still kept in her.

Weird.

"Lyn, just say it. You have a lot to tell us, don't you? I don't think you can keep it to yourself anymore" Eunseok said to know the real problem that messes with her mind.

"There's something wrong happened at JP Automobile. However, I've checked everything from the fund to the workers but none of them were suspicious. Grandpa himself will come to Korea to investigate with me. All I know was he felt something happened about it. He kept it a secret" the girl said, making the two stop eating.

"It must be really serious then. We need to investigate it thoroughly. But, I don't think we should find out right now because your dad must be planting someone to ensure the cleanliness of their work" said Sungchan while Eunseok agreed with him.

"We just need to observe them from time to time. Now, you can take a rest first before we do anything. Another thing is that Sungchan will always be here for you. Don't keep it to yourself again" Eunseok said as he patted her head softly.

Then the announcement sound came through the speaker.

"Attention to Jung Sungchan from Engineering, Song Eunseok from Engineering, Lee Sohee from Music and Contemporary, Lee Haechan from Early Childhood and Zhong Chenle from Architecture, please come to the main office before noon".

       The two stopped eating and looked at their watches. It's 11.50 a.m. Jaelyn let them go because she thought that it would be really important. They left with a note on the table, trying to protect her again from that guy.

"I'm not gonna restrict you from meeting him. Just don't let him have you"-Eunseok.

"Well bro, If I do, I have him instead" She said with a smirk. She won't let this smarty pant go anywhere other than JP.

       JP's legacy can be preserved with him. Well if he's doing well, he might take over JP Automobile. Her dreams of having someone capable of taking over her dad might come true. Before telling her Grandpa, she needs to dig up about him from people. All she needs to do is search for this Wonbin guy. A jerk or a nerd, she wants him.

       She finishes her food then somebody sits right in front of her. He leans his head on his palm, staring at the girl slurping her drink. He still can't deny how pretty she looks right now. And amazed that she continued eating. Usually, when he sits wherever he wants at the cafe, the girls will cover their faces from eating. Maybe they thought they would look ugly when they didn't. He started to question himself about his girl's knowledge.

"Did you live on the street?" she asked him all of a sudden. He laughed and leaned to her face.

"Pardon?". She shakes her head and gives her unfinished drink to him.

"You're following me around like a fake pretentious beggar. Well, not all beggar but you look look one. When I ask what you want, you seem to keep it by yourself even in this cafe. Drink that, You must be thirsty. Should I order some food?" She bombarded the guy with questions and speculation. He smiles instead of answering her.

"Are you hungry yet? I don't think you're full just with a croissant" he adds as he leans back to his seat. She looks into his eyes while holding her stomach.

How does he know?

"What do you like to eat? I'll buy it for you. Pasta? Sundubu Jjigae? Bibimyeon? Or just bread?" he asks while looking into his wallet. There are a few notes in there, enough to pay for their food. 

"Just buy anything that makes you full. I'll buy us drinks" she said and walked to the drinks aisle. He wanted to deny the offer but she already ordered their drinks.

"She's not squealing nor melting with my offer. What more should I do to make her attracted to me?" he asked himself and ordered his Sundubu Jjigae.

      He slowly slurps his soup, leaving the girl holding her hunger. She keeps on staring at him in jealousy. It's not like she didn't want to buy herself one. Her ego didn't want to tell this guy that he was right that she was hungry. The guy smirks and pushes his tray to her.

"If you're not hungry, you won't stare at me like that," he said while mimicking her wide eyes. She instantly side-eyes him and looks away.

"I'm not hungry, I've told you," she said firmly, refusing to let him get her. He nods and lets out another weapon.

"I have a cookie if you want instead of this heavy meal" he offers and puts it on the table. Her eyes shone and she felt that someone genuinely cared about her. She's defeated. She takes it and eats without looking at him.

"Is it yummy?" he asks and she nods with a smile. It's been a while since she got to eat cookies. Park's household didn't let her just to maintain her diet. She felt happy now.

"I made it a few days ago so it can be my go-to breakfast. I have some more in my backpack if you want" he offers and makes her feel weird.

"Do you really wanna be my friend or you're flirting with me?" she asks while munching her cookie.

"To be honest, both. I like you, Park Jaelyn" he said, making the girl choked. He quickly pats her back and gives her a drink. Again, she felt that genuine care.

"You sounded like a player so I refused to believe you and go sit now I'm okay". She sits properly and turns to look at him. He looks hot today. He wore a zipped black sweatshirt but he zipped it down, showing his bare chest a bit. His messy hair adds up the hotness she would say.

He is hot and handsome.

"A player? I'm tired of hearing that. Do you have another nickname for me?" he asks while staring at her again with a sly grin. She started to think.

"Well, I need to know your name". She said as he smirked.

"Your friends didn't let me introduce myself to you. That's why I'm letting you choose a special name that only both of us know" he said while leaning to her.

"You see, I love private intimacy so I'll only let you call me with that name. What do you think suits me?" he asks and leans closer. Their noses touch and his breath reaches her lips.

"Sly. A sly loser. It suits you. You're sly to flirt with me and a loser because you didn't get me even a bit, sly loser" she replies with a sly grin. They both did and didn't budge from their position.

"Fine, my ice princess. You'll melt at the right time. And, I'll make sure you will only melt because of me" he said and left a kiss on her forehead. He slurped her drink and got going.

"I like you, Princess. See you again, soon". He winked and left the girl speechless.

"He didn't get me yet, right?" Jaelyn asks herself and holds her heart.

She can't let him get her. But deep down in her heart, she wants it to be that Wonbin guy.

The guy who love engine.

The guy she wants.
