Nancy rushed through the malevolent dream realm, desperately calling Ollie and Liam's names into the swirling darkness. Freddy's sadistic laughter echoed all around, needling her psyche.
Squinting ahead, Nancy glimpsed two small forms huddled on the jagged ground. Heart leaping with relief, she sprinted over and knelt by the trembling teens.
"Oh thank god, I found you," she gasped, clutching their quaking shoulders. Ollie and Liam clung back fiercely, overwhelmed to be reunited after Freddy's cruel machinations had separated them.
Helping them stand on shaky legs, Nancy gripped their hands tightly. "His only power lies in dividing us. But together, we can force him back!"
Ollie and Liam managed weak but resolved nods. Shutting their eyes, the trio focused on their shared love, which manifested as an orb of gentle light around them. Nancy allowed it to soak into every fiber of her being, letting it drown out the lurking darkness.
An enraged roar sounded behind them. Whirling around, they saw Freddy Krueger stalking out of the gloom, murder blazing in his eyes. "You can't hide from me!" he spat.
"We don't hide from monsters like you," Nancy responded defiantly, steadying the teens beside her. Focusing their energy, their protective orb expanded into a force field spanning the width of the dream realm, stopping Freddy's advance.
He beat against the shimmering barrier with his sparking glove but recoiled from its purity. Face contorted with fury, Freddy evaporated into billowing red smoke, reconstituting behind them and swiping his deadly claws.
But the teens were ready. As one, they turned and directed the glowing shield to absorb Freddy's blow. Howling in pain as the light burnt his arm, Freddy was repelled several feet.
"We will end your reign of terror!" Nancy cried fiercely. Eyes blazing, she manifested fiery cords to ensnare Freddy while Ollie and Liam closed in.
Turning desperately to Ollie, Freddy morphed into his abusive father. "You can't escape me..." he taunted ominously.
But Ollie stood firm. "You aren't real. My mind belongs to me alone!" Freddy shrieked as Ollie's force of will reduced him to wisps of acrid smoke.
Enraged, Freddy broke free of his bonds and swiped his razored gloves at Liam, who quickly raised a force field. As Freddy recoiled from the energy, Liam yelled out, "We are not afraid!"
United as one, their soul light pierced Freddy's manifestation, making him crumple to the ground, howling curses. The trio advanced as one until Freddy had no choice but to retreat, vowing revenge.
With a violent jolt, the group jerked awake in the real world. For a long moment, they simply held each other, overwhelmed with relief. Today, united, they had triumphed.
Rising together, Nancy met Ollie and Liam's eyes solemnly. "The war still rages. But we will walk this path side by side, until the light finally wins."
The teens managed weary but resolute nods. Then, gripping hands, they moved forward to battle the darkness once more. Freddy's evil had met its match. Their shared strength would prevail. Nancy stumbled through the surreal nightmare realm, calling out desperately for any sign of the teens. Their faint cries echoed around her, intensifying her dread. Freddy's disembodied laughter followed her every frantic step.
Squinting ahead, Nancy glimpsed two small figures clinging to each other on the jagged ground. Heart leaping with relief, she sprinted over and fell to her knees beside Ollie and Liam.
"Oh thank god," she gasped, clutching their quaking shoulders. The teens embraced her back fiercely, drawing comfort from each other against the surrounding gloom.
