Chapter 1

I sighed. I was at my new middle school Seamwood Middle School, it was my new school, my new beginning, my new life.

"Have a nice day Melody and make new friends!" My mom said as she drove off. I look twords the school and exhaled. I started walking to the entrance when I tripped. I fell on the ground hard.

"Oops didn't see you there" This random girl snickered.
I'm assuming she's the one who tripped me.

"Of course you didn't, all that make up is blocking your view." I mumbled trying to get up, but failing.

She laughed. "Better watch who your talking to," She said. When her and her group started laughing hysterically a boy walked by and saw me. He ran over and tried to help me up.

"Are you ok?" He asked.

I winced as I put pressure on my left foot. "Not really" I said. The girl who tripped me sashayed over to the boy and gave me a hateful glare. He put his arm around me for support but that girl bumped me so I fell again.

She started talking to the guy like nothing happened. "Hi Dylan!" She squealed. He rolled his eyes

"Hey Mari" He mumbled, Clearly annoyed.

She giggled. The school bell rang and she looked at him in a flirty kind of way.

"Well I'll see you," she trailed her fingers up his chest. "At lunch" and with that she sashayed right over me.

He helped me back up once more. "Sorry about Mari," He pulled me up but I winced again.

"I'm assuming that she's not very nice." I said as he put his arm around me (for support of course). He scoffed.

"Ha, ya any way I'm Dylan."

"I'm Melody, but you can call me Mel." I said. I realized the bell already rang. I panicked and tried to run there forgetting about my foot. I took about two steps before I yelped in pain.

He looked at me. "Looks like you can't walk there. What class?" I pulled out my schedule. "Mrs. Gonzales's Math class." "You have a 7th Grade math class?" he asked.

I nodded "Ya honestly most people say I'm not that smart but I guess the school does" He smiled "Great that's my math class." He picked me up bridal style and took off towards the school.

I laughed as we made it there almost on time. He set me down gently, and walked with me into the class room. By the time class has started and everyone had a seat.

I looked around and saw two empty seats right next to each other. I walked over and slid into what I guess is gonna be my seat. Dylan followed and sat beside me.

"Mr.Gomez, Ms. Parks. Your late." Mrs. Gonzales said. I opened my mouth to say something but Dylan started talking.

"I'm sorry Mrs.Gonzales, Melody here," He gestured to me. "Had hurt her foot outside. We had to manage to get to class with her foot." He finished.

She looked at us. "Well if Melody is hurt you may go take her to the nurses office." Mrs.Gonzales said and started talking about, God knows what.

Dylan stands back up and helps me to the door, all the while everyone is looking at us whispering to one another. As I past them I can hear small parts of the private conversations.

"I thought him and Mari"

"Mari isn't gonna be happy"

"That poor girl has no idea what she's doing"

I ignored there comments and limped to the nurses office with Dylan.

We walked into a smaller version of a doctors office. It had almost everything a doctor would need. I saw a small, plump lady fiddling with something, her back twords us.

Dylan coughed and the lady turned to us. She walked to Dylan and placed a few cough drops into his hand. " This will help that cough of yours" she smiled.

Dylan chuckled and stuffed the cough drops into his pocket. "Melody here hurt her foot and-" She cut him off "Oh you poor thing, come sit." She took my hand and guided me to a small table and had me sit on it.

She helped me up and once I was on she started examining my foot. She hummed as she gently picked up my foot, I winced a bit. "It looks like you've sprained your ankle, I'll just wrap this up and you'll be good to go."

I sighed in relief "Thank you Mrs.....umm" "Ms.Molly" She said. "I haven't been a Mrs in a long time." She wrapped my foot up and helped me down. "I think you'll be fine to go, and Dylan." She looked over at Dylan. He shot his head up at the mention of his name.

"Wait What?" He said very confused. I giggled slightly. "Dylan I hope your cough gets better." Ms.Molly chuckle and walked back to her counter. Dylan helped me up and we walked out the door. By that time it was already 2nd period.

K guys thanks soooo much for reading. I actually type this all up on my phone so it takes a while. It will take me a while to write every chapter so I would love if you guys would just be patient.
