You Again

Chapter 3: After five years ✨

They were all seated in the meeting room when Danielle and Ella walked in and sat down quietly. Danielle glanced at Silver and thought about the fact that they would be working together. He was even more good looking than he was back then and he had become a director. She felt so uncomfortable meeting him here again like this.

Mr Thomas introduced them to their project partners as he pointed them out;

Mr Thomas: these are the rest part of our team. This is Jasper, Ella and Danielle. They are all good at their jobs.

Silver: is that so? Then I expect a good presentation.

Danielle suddenly realized that she would do a presentation in front of Silver. How embarrassing; the fact that they didn't prepare. They stood up at once and introduced the draft plan of the app, Vereal. Everyone looked at them quietly.

Actually, Mrs Lim had already prepared everything on PowerPoint and was supposed to do the presentation. How unfortunate that they had to get on her nerve and do the presentation.

They explained everything in turns carefully to their best ability. Everyone wore a serious face except Silver who looked numb and Mrs Lim frowning as usual.

Ella: we actually think this is the best prototype for the app but we are open to any suggestions from you guys.

Danielle: let's work together and make the best of it.

Danielle felt uncomfortable as the room was silent for a moment until Silver spoke;

Silver: quite impressive. I like the idea but . . . . . I do not like the presentation .

Ella: (whispers) huh!

Mr Thomas and Jasper were a bit surprised and Danielle was a bit confused;

Silver: what do you think? Mrs Lim?

Mrs Lim: I agree with you. (Turned to Danielle and Ella). You guys did poorly in front of the partners.

Ella: sorry.

Mrs Lim: we'll just make a copy of the draft plan and give to each of you. How's that?

Silver: okay. (Glanced at Danielle who is looking at him). Good job today, guys. I want you to try harder so we can get good results.

Ella and Danielle nodded their head on hearing from Silver.

Silver: it was nice meeting you all. I have to report back to our company for now. As from tomorrow let's do a good job together.

Mrs Lim: sure thing. Have a nice day

Silver: (stands) you too.

Silver walked out of the room with Adrian and Alice following behind. Mr Thomas accompanied them out. As soon as they left Mrs Lim turned to Danielle and Ella;

Mrs Lim: once again, you've failed to impress me. How could you mess it up in front of the partners? (Sighs).

Danielle and Ella didn't say anything but wore a disappointed face. Mrs Lim walked out on them and Ella spoke almost immediately, obviously annoyed;

Ella: she was the one who asked us to do the presentation out of the blue but we failed to impress her? Oh my goodness (annoyed).

Danielle: I don't understand. He was so mean. I can't work here anymore. (Complains).

Ella: but, isn't the director so handsome? Looking at his handsome face made me forget Mrs Lim for a while?

Jasper: he is. I think he's pretty cool as well.
