The next day Silver got ready for work and went to L-group. He arrived at the elevator and stood in front of it waiting for the lift. Irene walked towards Silver, they were quite acquainted with one another. Her father was one of the major shareholders of L-group. She worked in the sales department;

Irene: Good morning.

Silver: Good morning.

Irene: how's work at the tech company going?

Silver: it's going quite well, and surprisingly fun.

Irene: really?

Silver: hmm.

The elevator door opened, and they got in, just the two of them;

Irene: it's only been two days and I already miss your presence.

Silver: well.... I'm the mood maker. [Smiles].

Irene: [laughs softly] you're right though. Where are you headed to?

Silver: to the chairman's office.

Irene: okay.

The elevator stopped and the door opened;

Irene: I'll get off here, see you later. [Walks out].

Silver: yeah, sure. [Elevator door closes].

Silver arrived at the Chairman's office, the secretary at the front stood up to greet him. He knocked on the door lightly and entered.

The Chairman; Mr Cheston,Keith's father, looked up from the papers on the table to Silver standing in front of him. He smiled as he saw Silver and beckoned on him to sit down on a sofa. The office was large and well befitting for a Chairman, well decorated and adorned with expensive artifacts.

The Chairman stood up and walked towards silver. As he joined him on the sofa, Silver stood up and sat down after the Chairman was seated;

Chairman: how's your project coming along?

Silver: we just started working with Hi-Tech yesterday and I can already see their effort. I believe we can make a successful app together.

Chairman: [smiles] I trust your ability. I have high expectations for this project.

Silver: I'm aware. I'll try my absolute best to make this project a great success.

Chairman: [laughs softly]. That's good to hear. If you were my son, I wouldn't worry about leaving the company in your hands. You impress me.

Silver: you don't have to worry. I'm sure Keith can do more than me, even more than you. And besides I've only worked here for a few years, I can't compare to many directors and team leaders in the company.

Chairman: [laughs softly] you're right though. I should believe in Keith.

Silver: [smiles] exactly.

Chairman: you know I see you as a son, right?

Silver: I know. I also see you as a father.

They looked at each other and laughed softly until the Chairman noticed Keith in the office.

Chairman: [surprised] oh Keith, when did you get here?

Keith: I just got here. [Nonchalantly].

Silver felt uncomfortable, Keith must have heard some part of their conversations but feigned ignorance;

Chairman: [to Keith] come and have a seat.

Silver: I'll go ahead now.

Chairman: all of a sudden?
