You wake to the sound of your alarm. You have tonight free but forgot to turn the irritating noisemaker off.
You sigh regrettably as you roll out of bed and bypass your nursing scrubs in favor of a blouse and jeans. An evening out followed by a movie marathon will do you good. A quick shower and a bit of makeup and you're ready to head out.
Your favorite club is owned by Timmy and his twin brother Theo, who are the second cousins of your sister-in-law's childhood friend. They're nice and when they're at the bar Theo and Timmy will make sure to tell the bartenders that all your drinks are on the house.
You have to park your car a ways away from the club as it's a Friday night and the place is packed. A hot blond guy goes inside just as you do, and the bouncer has to catch the door before it hits you in the nose when the hot guy lets go of it. You thank the bouncer and frown at Mr. Blond's lack of manners as you weave your way through the dancing crowd to the packed bar.
Timmy is there and greets you with a big grin. He's busy with a customer, as are the other bartenders, so Timmy waves Theo over to you.
"Hey Theo," you say with a smile, Mr. Blond all but forgotten.
"Hey. The usual?" Theo asks you and you nod.
"On the house," Timmy adds from farther along the bar. He's far enough away that you have a hard time hearing him over the music.
Theo hands you your drink but has to help Timmy so can't stay to chat. You take your glass to a shadowed end of the bar where there are a few free seats left.
"Hey there, beautiful." Mr. Blond slides into the seat next to you. You give him a look of surprise and stammer out a greeting. "Want me to get you another drink?"
