Dawnberry Orchard:
Nickels pov
"You're right. I will come here often. This is the most beautiful place I've ever seen" I reply. He looks at me and smiles warmly. My heart skips a beat. We look at each other for what felt like hours, and I feel myself lean closer, until I realise what I'm doing and look away quickly. He seems to realise at the same time and he looks away also.
"Uh-I- we sh- we should go look for those strawberries" I say, stuttering badly.
"Y-yeah we should" he says back.
We both get up and he unlocks the door and we step out into the cool breeze. I run past him down the hill and he starts running after me.
"H-hey, stop running!" He says.
"Hah, you wish" I shout back. I look back to see him smirking at me.
"I bet I can reach the ground first" he says, still running.
"Mmm... bet." I smile, facing back towards the end of the slope and running my heart out. But I hear a change of pattern in balloons footsteps. Although Im confused, I keep running. I had to win.
But curiosity took the better of me and I look behind, only to see balloon missing. I stop suddenly and frantically look around.
"Wha-where are you-" I call out, slightly worried. As I look around scared, I hear some rustling nearby. My gaze lands on a tree, and a wiggling salmon coloured balloon inside.
"Hehe, hey nickel, watch this!" He says. He stands on the branch and jumps, falling all the way down the slope and landing at the bottom. He shakes his legs from the impact of the fall but smiles at me.
"Woahh" I manage to blurt out. I run down to him but my foot catches onto the other and before I realise it, I trip. But it takes me two seconds to realise I didn't hit the ground, as I look up to meet balloons gaze. He looks slightly surprised, probably due to the unexpected fall. We look at each other for a minute straight.
His eyes in this sunlight just looked... so...
Hey wait, am I in his arms right now?
I'm in his arms right now.
I jump back suddenly and look away as my face heats up hotter than ur mom.
"I-i-uh- sorry" I stutter.
"It's finee, just be careful" balloon says smiling.
"Oh and you should've seen your face back there when you thought I was missing hehe. Are you really that worried about me?" He teases.
"What! N-no, I wasn't worried!?" I lie.
"Mhm sure"
"Shut up.."
