Okay as a little preface for this short novel:
•The main character is inspired by Brittany, so therefore there will be no "spicy" moments because that would be a little weird, sorry!
•I am in no way trying to romanticize the military or it's practices. I am also not aiming to be disrespectful with what I write. I am active military and have been for several years.
•All photos used are mine
•The order and timeline of the main character's journey in the military will NOT be accurate. I am speeding it up and skimming over certain things.
•THIS IS COMEDIC FOR ME. I do not take this seriously, I think the concept is funny.
•Lots of military (Marines) lingo will be used so in order to avoid confusion I will create a little key below for some of the most common terms that will be used.
0311: Infantry MOS/unit in the Marines
USMC: United States Marine Corps
SOI: School of Infantry
CAC: Common Access Card
MOS: Military Occupational Specialty
Blues: Dress uniform for formal occasions
Gunny: Gunnery Sergeant
Sarnt: Sergeant
Boot: New Marine
Chow: Food
Chow Hall: Mess Hall
Deployment: Temporarily moved from current station
Devil Dog: Nickname for Marines
