Chapter one: the human Cullen's

~Emophilia- the ability to fall in love easily and often puts the person on a high pedestal.~

(The story will be sent in River's POV and will be a short chapter.)

I woke up to Scarlett jumping on my bed yelling to get up, she was in her cheer outfit. I kicked her off my bed making her fall on the ground as Edward pooped his head in. "get ready. it's Bella's birthday, " he said before walking off as I rolled my eyes. "it's always Bella this, Bella that with him," Scarlett said as I got up. a little while later I was walking into school next to Jasper and Alice when they spotted Bella. I rolled my eyes as I went on without them before Edward yelled at me. "River! be nice!" he shouted clearly reading my thoughts. I rolled my eyes before giving him the middle finger and walking off to my class earning a smile from Emmet. I shook my head while walking. an hour later I was in my Psychology class with Alice writing down notes. me and her were partners in a project, well I did most of he work while she talked about Bella and her birthday party. "can you focus." I glared at her as she went on. "I'm sorry but I'm just excited." she said as I sighed. "I understand you don't like Bella but please at least try to have a good time there?" she asked. "I can't go. I got volleyball practice," I spoke writing down on my paper. "can't you miss it. its her birthday." she whined. I gave her a look. "no. you just said that I don't like Bella so no I'm not missing a practice meet. besides championship season is going to start soon," I said as the bell rang. "ugh fine. Ill save you some cake though. hey, are Selene and Scarlett going?" she asked as we walked in the halls. "no. Scarlett has cheer practice and Selene has to go audition for a role in a play for her drama class." I answered. Alice pouted sadly. "how late will you be staying out?" she asked. "I don't know. about 11-ish." I answered as the bell rung out again.

later that night I was getting out of Volleyball practice as I waited for Scarlett and Selene by my car. my phone started ringing as I sat in the drivers seat. "hello." I answered the phone. "hey you might want to wait 20 minutes before coming home." Rosalie responded as I looked confused. "why?" I asked. "Bella accidently gave herself a papercut and bled. Jasper ended up attacking her." Rosalie answered as I nodded. "ok. is everything ok?" I asked. "yeah but just wait. to be safe at least," she said before hanging up. a few minutes later Selene and Scarlett got in the car. "bad news." I said as they both looked at me. "so apparently back at Bella's birthday party she got a papercut and bled. Jasper attacked her." I said as the both looked shocked and confused. "how do you bleed so much from a papercut that a vampire loses control?" Selene asked as I shrugged. "it's Bella Selene she manages to do the unthinkable all the time whether its stupid or not." I said as the girls sighed.

I woke up a few days later to Alice telling me to come to the living room. I walked down in my pajamas seeing everyone gathered around Scarlett and Selene. "what's happening?" I asked. "hun, we have something to tell you three." Esme said gesturing to me and my two sisters. "ok. what?" I said as Carlisle walked up. "we have decided to move, but you, Selene, and Scarlett are going to stay here by yourselves." he spoke as us three looked confused. "why?" Selene asked. "we realized last night that this life is too dangerous for Bella. we soon realized that it could get dangerous for you girls here too. so we are moving while you girls stay here with the house being in Rivers name." Esme answered as I sighed. "then whose going to protect this land? we can't fight vampires," Scarlett spoke. "I'm sure the wolves will take care of that. just live your life normally. River's almost eighteen she will be taking care of everything." Carlisle spoke as I glared but shook it off. "fine whatever. where are you going?" I asked. "we can't tell you. i for your safety. besides the Volturi have been demanding for you girls to turn for years now." Carlisle answered. "how is this going to stop them?" Selene asked. they went silent for a second as I scoffed. "their going to tell them we died." I said as I shook my head. "we have to. it'll keep you three safe." Esme spoke as Rosalie stood next to me. "trust us. alright." she whispered as I stared at her. "fine." I nodded not wanting to argue anymore. Selene and Scarlett huffed and scoffed before agreeing nonetheless.

to say the last few days have been hard is an understandable. waking up in an empty house without the Cullen's is weird. there's no fighting between Emmet and Scarlett. I can't bicker with Edward over his loud music. no makeup sessions with Alice and Selene. its quiet. Scarlett has been having a harder time with everything than Selene and I. she hasn't talked. barely eats but when she does eat she picks at everything. she was closer to the Cullen's more than me. Selene hasn't acted any different. I don't think she cares much other then her constant emails and texts to Alice and Jasper. I haven't been going to school often because of work and paying bills. the house is payed off so that's the only thing I don't have to worry about. there were a few moments where Bella would visit asking about Edward but she stopped after a while. I heard that a couple of nights ago she went missing but Sam Uley found her in the woods and brought her back. she's been quiet since then. she doesn't sit with Jessica and Mike or with me and my sisters. she just sits at a window and stares out by the woodline.
