I woke up the next day to Scarlett screaming at me to wake up and basically throwing my clothes at me. "Get up, Bitch! Today is game day! And you're going to. School!" She shouted as I glared at her while I was half asleep. She was always an early bird. It was always so fucking annoying. I stood up rubbing my eyes figuring why not go. It was my day off from work, I had countless finished assignments, and it was a Friday. So I decided to go to school I was changing when my door opened revealing Selene. "The wolves are here." She spoke as I nodded with a groan. I don't mind those boys but it's too early for this. I finished changing as I walked out of the house wearing a small dress, typical sneakers, a jacket and my bag while laying my hair down and flat. I then approached the tribe boys, Embry, Jared, and Paul in their human forms and fully dressed which was surprising. I was also surprised by the fact that Paul was here. "Can I help you boys?" I asked. "We came to be your rides since the redhead was close to your home." Paul spoke clearly, hating the idea. "I can drive. I have a car of my own." I spoke before Scarlett walked up to me grimacing as if she was guilty of something. "I invited them to the game today. So we thought it was easier to have them drive us." She spoke shyly as I gave her a look but nodded. "Ok. Where's Sam?" I asked genuinely curious as Paul and Jared smirked while Embry rolled his eyes. "He and Emily are "busy" if you know what we mean." He spoke with a digested face. I was confused as was my two other sisters but quickly understood. "Gross." "Eeeeeww!" The two shriek as I sighed. "You know what, forget it." I spoke as we all dispersed. Selene and Scarlett took the two backseats in Jared's care as I took the passenger seat in Paul's car. Embry was in Jared's car but complained about wanting to be in the back of Paul's truck. But that was cut off by Paul threatening him with, "no! Cause I know you. you Will somehow fuck up my truck. And we both know what I'll do if you fuck her up." Honestly it was funny. I could help but laugh at his threat which made Jared laugh as Embry surrendered and headed to Jared's car. Although Paul did stare at me with some kind of expression while I laughed. I couldn't tell what it was but it definitely wasn't malice towards me. Soon enough we made it to school. Paul parked at the front of the school with Jared behind us. He quickly got out of the truck without me realizing it as I texted a friend of mine on my phone. Paul walked around the truck and opened the passenger door. I stared at him confused. I wasn't expecting him to do that. He stared back at me confused. "What need help out or something?" He asked before holding out a hand for me to grab. I stayed silent as I reluctantly grabbed his hand as he helped me out of the truck and closed the door. I looked around and saw people staring not expecting people on the reservation to be here. I shook my head before giving Paul a thankful smile.

I spent most of my time in my classes doing missing work as well as turning in ALL of my assignments. It was a struggle but I did it. Right now I was in Volleyball sitting out since I missed lineups. I won't be able to play for the first few days. Selene was in Drama practicing her new play as Scarlett was preparing for the game. Soon enough I got a text from a random number asking me where I was. I looked confused and concerned. I texted back who it was and it was Paul. How did he get my number? I told him I'd meet him in the parking lot as I stood up and walked out into the cloudy atmosphere. It wasn't that bad. At least it wasn't raining heavily. I walked out of the campus as I went out into the parking lot as the hidden sun began to set. I walked over to Paul as Jared and Embry drove in with Sam and surprisingly enough Emily was behind them. "Where's Jacob?" I asked Paul. "I don't know? He's in a mood today." he answered as I nodded. Embry and Jared got out of the car as Sam parked. I looked back at the building waiting for Selene as I suddenly heard inhumane growling. I turned back to see Paul holding Jared by the collar of his jacket. Embry watched as Sam approached the two. "I was only going to hug her." Jared teased as Paul growled more while Emily walked over to me smiling. "River! Hi." she spoke happily as she hugged me. "And here I thought you didn't like me." I spoke as we pulled apart but she stood next to me. "I was skeptical but you're human, not a cold one so..." she shrugged as I nodded before looking at the two boys as Sam started calming down Paul. "what happened?" I asked. "Just wolf things, don't worry about it." she smiled smugly as I nodded while Selene approached us. "Ok. Are you all ready?" Jared asked excitedly after pushing Paul off of him. Paul seems to have calmed down for the most part. "Jare." Selene spoke tiredly. "Yeah?" he turned to her. "shut the hell up." she spoke glaring at him as Me, Selene, and Emily started walking towards the field as the parking lot started getting crowded. The boys followed closely behind us as we entered the football field. I walked off getting food not really paying attention to anything as the place quickly became crowded. "You shouldn't go off on your own!" Paul shouted from behind me over the loud music and crowds. "It's forks high school! The only threat to me is food poisoning!" I shouted back smiling as he did the same. "Right. But still." I shook my head at his response, still smiling as we walked through the crowds and ordered food. "Have you lived in forks your whole life?" he asked. "No. I was adopted here at the age of eight." I answered as we sat down with the others. "How old are you?" He yelled as the crowd cheered since the teams and cheerleaders came out. "Sixteen." I shouted back. "You're sixteen and a senior?" he asked in disbelief. "Yeah. I got a scholarship so I got to skip two grades." I smiled. "You?" I added. "Sixteen!" he spoke as I nodded. We continued talking and learning about each other up until the halftime show. The cheer leaders started doing their cheers as the marching band started doing their performance. I watched as people cheered. I turned back to Paul about to say something but was cut off by a drink being spilled on me. I shivered slightly at the cold drink as Paul looked shocked as well as Emily who sat next to me who also got a drink spilled on her. "Sorry." a familiar whiny voice spoke behind me as I wiped my eyes. It was Sarah Fernsby. I guess you could say she was my bully. I hated her. Of course she was with her on and off boyfriend Jaxon. The two were complicated. They cheated on each other countless times but stayed together. Paul instantly stood up protectively as he yelled at the two. Sam stood up glaring at the couple because Emily was in the crossfire which caused Embry and Jared to follow his lead. Selene glared as she managed to move me and Emily slightly as Jaxons friends started yelling back at the pack. Sarah and her best friend, Monica, started shouting and teasing at us as I glared at her. Before I knew it the entire group of boys started fighting as Selene and Scarlett, who I found out jumped the fence to get to us, started fighting Sarah and Monica. It was mayhem. Me and Emily watched as everyone fought. Emily then shouted for Sam to stop and he did. But of course the younger ones kept going. "Paul!" I shouted as Paul suddenly stopped. He looked at me confused and concerned before he and Sam tried stopping Jared and Embry as I turned to Selene and scarlett. I ran up and managed to stop Scarlett but Sarah kept going trying to attack me and Scarlett. Emily stopped Selene and Monica. I pushed Scarlett back as Sarah suddenly grabbed me by the hair which...caused me to instinctively punch which also knocked her out. The people around us either cheered or gave collective ohs as we were escorted out of the football game. I sighed as I held my hand which I wouldn't be surprised was sprained as I walked to Paul's car. "Are you alright?" Paul asked. Paul wasn't really hurt. I mean he had a small cut on his cheek and a slight busted lip but he was fine. "I'm fine." I lied as I held my hand while still walking to his truck. "Here" he sighed as he pulled me over to him as he leaned against his truck while he took my hand and examined it. "It's a bit sprained. You'll just have to wrap it and put ice on it." He glanced up at me a couple of times. "I know. I grew up with a doctor you know." I raised my eyebrows at him as I took my hand back gently. He huffed out breath. "I keep forgetting your the daughter of those leeches." he spoke coldly. "Kinda. We were adopted so technically not his daughter." I spoke as he smiled. "Sure. whatever you say Cullen." "Monroe." I corrected giving him an expectant look. "It's Monroe." I added. He nodded with a smile. "Right, sorry," he said as he got off his car. "Let's take you home now shall we?"
