Brendon's PoV: After I went to the bus to clean up after me and Andy's talk, I text Dallon the news: I found her.
B: Hey Dall, I have some news.
D: What is it?
B: I found Onyxx. Or, Andy Biersack found her. Either way, she's here at the venue.
D: Did you talk to her!? What did she say?!
B: I talked to her, but she doesn't remember me. I told Andy everything and he says I need to tell her as soon as possible.
D: Can't say he's lying. But are you sure it was her?
B: One hundred percent.
D: Okay, I'll tell Spence. Meet at the bus?
B: Yea see you in a minute. I'm already here.
D: Good luck with her, man.
B: Thanks. I need it.
I put my phone away and turn on the TV. A few minutes later, Spencer and Dallon burst through the front door. "Why the running? Is there a murderer on the loose or what?" They try to laugh, but it turns into panting as Spencer shoves his phone in my face. "Dude, you need to see this!" I grab the phone cautiously, wondering what he's going to show me. It's a video of a whole bunch of people at the pit. I don't see what's so special until Onyxx comes on the screen. She's demanding someone to give her a guitar. After a small speech, she starts to strum and sing Goodbye Agony by Black Veil Brides.
She followed that with Hold On Till May by Pierce The Veil, Get Me Out by Falling In Reverse, our song Camisado, and Brother by Falling In Reverse. That last one really hit home. It was so heartbreaking. It channeled how I felt when she was kidnapped, and her rendition brought tears to my eyes. The video ended with Ronnie Radke sobbing in her neck. Poor guy had to go through so much in his life. She's just like I remembered: the one who always held people when they cried.
I'm crying softly and I don't notice until Dallon says something to me about it. "Why are you crying?" His face is riddled with confusion. "It was beautiful, that's why. What's wrong with that?" I snap. "Whoa, man. No need to yell." Spence rubs my shoulders as I mumble apologies to Dall. "It's alright, man. We understand." "So, how am I gonna tell her that she's my sister? You just can't do that in a subtle way over a cup of coffee." I think about how Andy said I needed to show her something that'd make her remember, but not with the pictures in my wallet. "I have an idea! What about that song you wrote for her? Not Mona Lisa, but Keep On Keeping On. Does she remember that one?"
How did I not think of that? I wrote it when I was only a kid. She and I weren't the smartest or best-behaved in school, so I wrote it to make her feel better about school in general and all the people who picked on her. "But how do I sing her the song when I can barely get a word out when she's in front of me?" "Well, she likes pit enough. Maybe you could sing it at the pit and see if she joins you." "That is the smartest thing I have ever heard you say, Dallon Weekes." I grab my acoustic and head out to the pit. It doesn't matter whether she's there; if she's not there, I'll just practice the song. If she just happens to still be there, she'll hopefully hear it and remember everything.
Onyxx's PoV: After I got Oli's number, I just sat back down in my place on the log and hummed a soft melody to myself. I've known it for most of my life, but I don't know where it came from. While I'm humming, I hear someone strumming yet another guitar to the same tune, not even a beat behind. "How do you know that?" I ask without looking up. "It doesn't matter. Keep going. It's a really good song." Mystery man says. I think I recognize the voice from earlier, but I don't want to ask, just in case it isn't who I think it is. I continue to hum, then start a small beat with my hands slapping my thigh and the log in various parts of the song. He starts to play again. We do this for a minute or two, but then he does something that surprised me more than two different guys crying into my shoulder not even an hour apart.
