Interlude - Expecto Patronum

(Ramshackle Dorm – My Room)

The camera just sitting at the upper right corner of my room. The cameras' presence just keeps my wits up as I already know on what its true purpose is. I look around in my room and see everything just look the same with Grim obviously sprawls on my bed sleeping. I smile at this sight and rub his head gently. Grim purr at this and subconsciously push his head back at my palm. My smile widens into a grin as the foreboding feelings I felt just disappear in an instant. I stand up from the bed and head out of the room and decide to walk around the rejuvenate garden beside the dorm.

(Ramshackle Dorm – Garden)

The sight of the lustrous garden ease my mind from the various obstacle I will face in the future. I walk around and see a bench. I decide to sit on it to relax my body. I let out a sigh and rub my face in exhaustion. I just tilt my head up and see the sea of stars above in the sky. I let out a small smile at this magnificent scene.

A few minutes of stargazing, a strong presence tickle the back of my neck. I look around and see him. I recognize who he is with that pair of black with green accents horns of his at the top of his head. Malleus Draconia, a fay dragon. His magic is very powerful for his age. How suitable for being a dormleader for Diasomnia dorm. I look straight at him and he look back at me. Silence starting to fill the place and a heavy tension begin to build up.

I shatter this moment by moving my body to the side of this bench and invite him to sit beside me by waving my hand forward at him. I look at his expression and see a surprisement look mix with a bit of caution and....excitement? He starts walking towards me and sit at the empty spot.

A brief of silence ensures between us as I just look forward avoiding his expectant gaze while gripping both of my hands tightly. I begin to take a deep breath and decide to start a conservation with him.

"So..... coming here often?" I ask him while face forwards at him.

Malleus just jolt back a bit and answers me back: "Yes. I always come here to get some quiet time from my dorm."

"I see.... I'm sorry to say this but my companion and I reside the building beside this garden. So, you have to find another spot for a quiet moment as my companion is a loud type." I look at him apologetically for this new.

Malleus just stay and silent and say: "It's okay. I understand that you have no powers regard this arrangement. May I know your name?"

"Oh! My name is Comic Sans Serif Gaster but just call me, Sans. What is your name then?" I falsely wonder his name.

Malleus just smile mysteriously at me and tell me to figure it out on my own. "Regard this, Sans, you can choose any nickname to call me if you want to meet me again." He looks at me with a patient looks.

I smile widely at this and decide to nickname his as:" Then, I will call you as Echo."

Malleus just raise his right eyebrow in return.

I smile back cheekily at him without explaining anything regarding the nickname. The nickname is obviously taken from a sentient gaster blaster I have.

Malleus just let out a chuckle and lean back against the bench.

I follow his example and look up to the sky. I feel magic begin to buzz around in excitement regarding my happiness. I look down at my hand and decide to cast a spell that got inspired from a book from my previous life.

I stand up and walk forward a bit while Malleus's eyes follow my movement. My left hand reaches out and surrounded by white aura that emitting some positive energy. I begin to gather my magic and concentrate on all of my happy memories in my 5000 years of life. My left hand begins to shine brightly as Malleus quickly get up after feeling the build-up magic.

"EXPECTO PATRONUM!" A bright white light begins to shine out from my reached-out hand as a white vapour begin to shape into a phoenix. The white phoenix begins to fly around me as it looks around for any danger. After confirming that nothing is endangering me, it begins to latch on my right shoulder and starts to thrill. I smile at the beautiful noise that my patronus is thrilling. I look back and see that Malleus just look at my patronus in wonder and astonish.

"Surprise?" I ask him.

Malleus just look at me and nodded in return. His gaze shouts out of his wants to touch my patronus and I nodded at him in return.

Malleus smile at my approval and begin to stroke my patronus carefully as if afraid that it will suddenly disappear.

"What..... What kind of spell is this?" Malleus asks me in wonder.

"It's the patronus charm. It's a defensive type of spell that create a guardian based on your personality and need your happiest memory to cast it with sufficient magic level." I begin to explain him of the spell.

"Impressive. A spell that required positive memory along with its emotion as well as a large amount of magic to cast it." Malleus marvels at the intricacies of this spell.

I decide to end this charm and the phoenix begins to fade out. Malleus is obviously saddened at this predicament but brighten up after hearing that he can cast this spell from me.

I check the current time with a spell and notice that it has getting late. I have to go back to the dorm quickly to rest my body for tomorrow.

Malleus gives his understanding and let me go home after hearing my explanation and says his goodnight and goodbye to me as well as his hope of meeting me again.

I smile and says: "Of course, Echo. We can have a meet up again."

Malleus smile at this and bid me his courtesy and walk back to his dorm.

I wave my hand at him and begin my way of walking towards the dorm. The feeling of anxious and desperation completely disappear from my mind after this whole time of spending with Malleus.
