Sam's POV:

The car pulls up to the front door as I load Mila's and my suitcase into the boot, making small talk with the driver who gives me a hand. "Ready babe?" I yell out to Mila who's locking up the front door.

"Yep, just a sec", she starts walking towards me, tucking the keys into her purse. She gives me a peck as she walks past me, waiting for her to get in the car first. I can't help but beam at the little gestures she gives. Closing the door, my other hand finds Mila's knee blindly as my fingertips tuck in-between her legs that are crossed over one another. It's safe to say that I'm loving being in this honeymoon phase. It was all worth the wait.

Mila's POV:

The car passes the main airport entrance as enters through a side entrance, beginning to drive on the tarmac that holds multiple private planes. "Sam, what is going on", my reaction is stunned. Confused as to why we weren't at the regular terminal entry with all the other public flying out of Heathrow. No words come from her as she simply sends me a smile and looks out the window, giving my knee a slight squeeze. The car pulls to a halt, the driver getting out and unloading our suitcases to the airhostess that seems to be awaiting our arrival. Sam hops out, opening the door for me to exit. As I step out of the car, my eyes scan the small jet that statues in front of us. "Sam, what?!" I shout out as she chuckles at my amazement. "You're joking - we have a private jet to The Maldives? You're insane" I am giddy at the surprise. Taking her hand in mine as we walk towards the stairs that are lined by a strip of carpet, I lean into her, placing a kiss on her neck. No one has ever organised something this grand and special for me before – the most anyone I've dated has done for me is buy me a bouquet of flowers on valentine's day after their mother had reminded them to do so. What a nice change. It is evident that when Sam truly cares for someone, she wants to spoil them and show them how much she loves them – I've noticed that over the past few days.

We get settled on the plane, both of us are having the time of our lives and excitement filling the small cabin that only consists of us, the air hostess and the pilots. Sam definitely makes herself comfortable to say the least, sprawling out in her seat. I have to get a picture of this as I whip my phone out, causing Sam to giggle [see chapter cover photo for reference]. I contemplate posting it to my story but think it'd be best to keep this whole trip fairly private, especially since us being together is still so fresh.

"Maldives bound baby!" I yell out as the airhostess passes us a glass of champagne before we prepare for take-off, clinking my glass with the incredible woman full of surprises who sits next to me.

After a few minutes, the airhostess comes around to let us know that the plane is now getting ready for take-off, prompting us to clasp our seatbelts and pop our bags away. The roar from the engines gets louder as we move to the end of the landing strip for take-off. I am beyond excited. Weirdly, I've always liked flying. Maybe it's because I don't think about how scary it could be. Or maybe because I enjoyed a thrill. Before I know it, the plane begins to move quickly, a hand grabbing mine as Sam's fingers interlock with me. I look over to her, her eyes slightly squeezing shut as her head melts back into her seat. I see the signs of her fear, so I lift her hand briefly to kiss it, my thumb beginning to stroke her hand back and forth as she starts to relax.

Sam's POV:

My eyes open at her actions, always knowing how to make my nerves disappear. I've never been a big fan of flying – it was mostly the take-off and landing that I didn't like. I find her eyes that are already looking back at me as her green softened orbs distract me from the havoc created by the small jet taking-off from the ground. It is as if there is nothing and no-one else here. As soon as we're above the clouds and stable, Mila breaks my trance as she begins to talk "You didn't tell me you weren't a fan of flying. It doesn't help that we're in this tiny cylinder fighting for its little life against the wind" she slightly laughs at the fact I didn't exactly think this through.

"Worth it for you" is all I reply, chuckling along with her. "But we're flying commercial on the way back" my eyebrows lift, telling her more than asking her.

"Of course," she replies, a smile still widely plastered on her face as her hand's still entangled with mine that now lays in my lap.

"So, when are we meeting up with the others" – she raises a good question considering we aren't flying with the girls now.

"Our plane lands just after theirs so we'll meet at the airport and then make our way to the hotel" I respond.

We finally land, Sam's hand finding itself back in mine during the process and not disconnecting until it was time to grab our bags and disembark. We made our way to the main terminal's baggage claim after collecting our own suitcases to meet the other girls whose plane was delayed by an hour, meaning it will now land after we did.

Oh Sammy, such a selfless woman. This was a bit of a filler chapter but time for the vacation adventures to begin.
