To My Future Self.

TO MY FUTURE SELF
I just have a few questions.
I don’t know what you are doing now but I hope life didn’t mistreat us
I hope the experiences from past years helped us
I hope you didn’t make the same mistakes we did
Do you have friends? Or we couldn’t get pass the traumas
Have you found love ? well I hope you did
Was our story a happy ever after? Or that doesn’t exist
Were we able to forget the betrayals, hurt and disappointments.
Time they say heal all wounds , so did our wounds heal ?
Or they turned into scars that just wont die
Are we still as good looking as we were? Or has society changed its beauty standards again?
Do we still wear glasses? Or we have switched to contacts now.
I hope we finally found our way
Did we find our direction, our aims and goals?
If yes, did we achieve them? Or we give up halfway
Are we still that naïve little girl who thought the world was all flowers and poenies?
I hope life hasn’t been too harsh on us
To the extent that we forget who we are, what we are
Did the latter years treat you better than the previous? Or the worse had yet to come?
I hope our love for movies and stories hasn’t died down
If yes, then what helps us go through tough times
The wounds from the past, do they still hurt?
Or they are faded memories now
And lastly, are we happy with the life we are living
I hope so. For now is a part of our story
Not the beginning nor the end but a part of our story
One I hope is a great one.
