Third person's POV
"Zayn.." was the only thing that came out of Louis' mouth while Harry and Niall were in utter shock.
But Zayn couldn't say anything before his daughter, Khai, ran in the room.
"Baba Baba guess what" Khai said smiling at him and all the attention went straight from Zayn to Khai.
"What love?" Zayn said kneeling down to pick her up.
"There's lots of candy in that machine! Can I get some?" She asks with the puppy face.
"Hey Khai, why don't you come with me and we can go get some candy while your dad talks with his old friends okay?" Kate says while she walks in.
"Yes please" khai says and gets off of Zayn.
The two girls leave the room and now it's just awkward and the silence has never been louder.
"Ok..what the fuck you guys?" Niall says loudly.
All they boys just stare at him not knowing what's going on.
"Since when do we sit in awkward silence? We used live together! We used to go out to parties, pull pranks, skip interviews, piss off management together! Now it's like we're strangers" Niall said what everyone thought.
"Yeah.. your right, Ni but it's not like we can forget about everything that has happened" Harry finally spoke for the first time since he had stepped a foot into that room.
"So talk about it. No one said you had to forget about it" Niall said.
"Okay...let's start with Zayn...why'd you leave the band?" Harry said "and I don't want the "oh i needed a solo career" bs I want the real deal"
There was no doubt that Harry and Zayn were one of closest people in the band. They were quite inseparable. However, once Zayn left, Harry couldn't understand why he did what he did.
"Umm... honestly I just wanted out." Zayn said "I couldn't handle it anymore... the racism.. you guys don't know how it felt being the odd one out... being called names and multiple brands and managers started dropping the band because they didn't want me on"
The boys didn't know what to say. They didn't expect it from him as Zayn isn't the opening up type of guy.
"And management..they were on my ass on everything I did" Zayn continued "you guys knew how they were... but they wanted me to be a guy that I definitely wasn't"
"I had no control over my life...actually the only thing that I was in control of was my eating...so I stopped"
The boys again were shocked even though they knew about his eating disorder. They still didn't think it was that bad.
"It got to the point were I just lost myself" Zayn said with tears in his eyes "I wanted to end things so badly that I nearly did"
At this point all the boys had tears in there eyes.
"I'm sorry" Zayn said and Niall ran to him and gave him the biggest hug.
Zayn hugged him back.
"Don't you dare apologise for something that you had no control over" Niall whisper- said.
"Why didn't you show up for me when I needed you the most?" Louis said with a tear falling down his cheek.
"Umm..well that's more complicated" Zayn said "before I left the band officially I had to agree to some conditions and one of those was that I couldn't get in contact of you guys and if we're ever at the same event I couldn't even look at yous"
"What??" Louis said shocked.
"The management wanted to make me look like the bad guy, the guy that would be targeted for anything he did, the villain so they forced me to reply to that tweet when you were beefing with naughtyboy" Zayn explained "they told me that if I wanted to leave the band that badly that I had to forget about you guys"
"And you forgot about us, didn't you?" Louis said.
"No, never. Not even a single day goes by that I don't think about you guys and the memories we shared" Zayn said shaking his head clearly with tears nearly busting out of his eyes. "I even taught my little daughta about you guys, showed her pictures, videos, told her all about yous so she could never forget the people who made me"
"Aw that's so sweet mate" Liam said finally.
Grabbing the attention of all the boys.
