Along the route, (Y/N) and Trevor enter a cave. There are mirror-like crystals all over this cave. It's a lovely scene as the light bounces off the mirrors and onto the wall. (Y/N) fights and captures Pokemon as they make their way through the cave. Trevor then begins comparing his PokeDex with (Y/N)'s PokeDex. Trevor has only captured 92 distinct Pokemon species, compared to (Y/N)'s 97.
Trevor: Aww man! You caught more Pokemon!
(Y/N): You were 6 away from beating me. It was really close!
The two soon come to the end of the cave. They walk out and are faced with a huge city with tall buildings
(Y/N): This place is huge! Holy Arceus!
Trevor: Lumiose City is 3x bigger.
(Y/N): Oh, right.
Trevor and (Y/N) walk around together looking around. They soon run into Tierno.
Tierno: Oh, it's (Y/N)! It's been awhile hasn't it?
(Y/N): Yeah! You doing alright?
Tierno: Eh, this and that happened. But... Yeah, that's about it.
(Y/N) remembers the Gogoat incident.
(Y/N): Wait, Serena told me about the Gogoat incident.
He sighs as (Y/N) reminds him of the incident.
Tierno: Lemme lead you onto a little secret... Serena killed the Gogoat, and now we're all avoiding her for a while. Dude, she's been acting different recently.
Shauna approaches the three boys in the distance. When she sees (Y/N), she smiles. (Y/N), Trevor, and Tierno are shocked to find Shauna in town.
Shauna: Hey (Y/N)~
With lust and affection, her eyes never stop staring at (Y/N). (Y/N) greets Shauna as they make their way to the gym. (Y/N) wonders if Spyro is alright as he strolls by and glances up at the sky. With sorrow and pain in his eyes, he hoped that he would return one day.
Trevor: Something wrong, (Y/N)?
He suddenly looks at Trevor and smiles.
(Y/N): No, I'm alright.
Tierno: Good. Also, the gym leader's name is Korrina. She's a nice person and I heard she knows a lot about Mega-Evolution!
Hearing about this gets (Y/N) excited. He wants and needs to learn more about Mega-Evolution.
(Y/N): Well, to the gym!
At the gym, the four trainers show up. They heal their Pokemon before they go in. As soon as they enter, they realize they need skates. Fortunately for (Y/N), his father packed his skates before starting this adventure. Shauna decides to wait with the others and watch (Y/N) take on the gym.
(Y/N): Alright, Arroyo. I'm fast on skates, so you'll have to keep up.
Arroyo: Are you a skater-boy?
(Y/N): Not really. Before I received a Cyclizar, I skated to school and everywhere else.
Before Arroyo can say anything, (Y/N) dashes forward. Shocked, Arroyo finds struggling to match (Y/N)'s level. (Y/N) battles the gym trainers as he moves around. When Arroyo catches up, (Y/N) takes off running once more. With a loud sigh, Arroyo tries to catch up once more. This continues for some time until they reach the gym leader.
(Y/N): See? That wasn't that bad.
Arroyo: I...I.. Can't breathe...
Arroyo fainted.
