An unsure Promise.!

A month has passed since the incident. Adrick was totally fine now. Noor didn't tell him about his mother's taunts, not like that would have made any difference. but she chose not to tell it.

It was economics class and Noor was sitting quietly looking at the window lost in her own world. when the class was dismissed, Lipakshi asked Noor "is something wrong with you, you don't seem like yourself today?"

Noor just nodded to her words and ignored iit. Aaryan and Stephen noticed this and came close. "hell no.. don't tell me you are missing Sukirti.?" Aaryan exclaimed.

"oh come on, Tomboy, ain't we enough for you.? you broke my heart!!" Stephen said dramatically picturing a broken heart.

"Hey, don't be mellow.! you know that's not the case!" Noor explained.

"that's not the case.. oops now i see where is it going. don't tell me tomboy you are actually interested in Lipakshi!!" Stephen exclaimed with a horrific facial remark.

"you..!! Now tell me who is interested in whom??!" Noor ran after Stephen.

The other two giggled and followed them.

Sitting in the cafeteria sipping some cold drink, Stephen got serious, "you know you can tell us everything right...!!??" Noor nodded unmindfully.

Aaryan took away her cold drink "hey my drink..!!" Noor yelled.

Lipakshi took her attention, "then tell us what is worrying you, maybe we can help, or maybe we can lend you a ear.!!"

"hmm"

"tomboy, don't fish for attention" patted Stephen.

"Nothing guyys, you know I think I'm just missing my father, I need to go pay him a visit. He must be lonely all alone in my hometown."

"you are missing your dad..!! you should have told us, we can all go visit him together then" proposed Stephen.

"Can we?" asked Noor.

"guys i don't think i can join you people, u know my family. you guys have fun. i would excuse myself this time." Lipakshi said with a sad face.

"It's okay" Noor held her hand.

"What about you Aaryan?" Stephen asked Aaryan.

"ancestors day guyys, won't be joining you people."

"Then I guess we three will be leaving for her hometown tomorrow" Stephen announced.

coming back from her hometown, it was already feb end. The curse of corona was spreading rapidly. Her dad Mr. Amlan Shahni was good and even their business was in a full fledged condition. Everything was still in a good condition. Her father, her boyfriend, their relationship. Little did she know everything was about to go haywire.

Noor and her friends were in the fresher batch of college pursuing graduation in Agriculture. the government announced a nationwide lockdown on 20th of march 2020. Noor was caged in her studio apartment. she would wake up by 12 noon. buy groceries for a week on mondays. cook by 3. have lunch. chat or call with Adrick. then cook something again and go back to sleep by 3 or 4 in the morning. occasionally she would make her some acting videos. many a day she wouldn't sleep because of nightmares and past traumas.

Day by day Adrick's messages became numbered. their calls were short timed. Frustrated by the situation her relationship was in she called Stephen and described him in detail. Stephen Augostino belonged to a family of old money. Their family was a Portuguese family. rumors had it that Stephen's brother was into the mafia. but with such a huge business and network nobody dared to utter a word against the Augostino's.
