Chapter 6: The Runaway Family

     The group was trying to follow Y/n's instructions on how to activate the power of the crystals which were:

Stare at an object that you want to make into something different

Clutch the crystal in one of your hands

Close your eyes and imagine your vision until it comes to life!

However.. Things weren't working.. At all...

Cassie was trying to do something nice and simple, turning an apple a different color, shouldn't be hard compared to Y/n when she turned a girl's hair into LITERAL SNAKES!

She closed her eyes, holding the stone tightly and envisioned it with all her concentration, but no matter how hard she tried, the apple stayed its usual red color!

"Ugh! This is stupid! I don't think this is how we manifest the power of the crystals Y/n! All of us have been trying for hours and nothing has happened!" she let out with a stomp of her foot in frustration, looking at the others who were also trying to manifest the power, but to no avail, nothing happened to said objects.

Y/n began to sweat and feel tremendously overwhelmed. She didn't really know how else to explain it! Besides, all the events of her using the crystal to turn the girl's hair to snakes happened so fast! It was hard for her to process the things she did only in the few seconds the event took place!

But, with the stress of being the leader of the group, Y/n had to come up with a response or new way they can activate the crystal's power. "I... Well, maybe you aren't focusing enough???" she stated nervously, not knowing what else to do about it.

"How much focus IS enough?? Like, 5 minutes of focus or a WHOLE entire day of focus??" said Minnie, who was quite irritated and looked down at the crystal in her hand.

"Ugh! Why is this so difficult?! I was able to use the power in seconds! Why isn't it working now?!" Y/n wailed in frustration and started to scream and knock down some of the objects in the room.

The others are shocked by her actions and try to stop her, but she wouldn't until a certain someone grabbed her hands, "Y/n, please! You are making a mess and getting angry and throwing a tantrum is not the solution!" Valerie stated, softly taking Y/n over to her bunk and setting her down and sitting next to her.

Y/n calmed down a bit, still feeling a little stressed, "I know.. And what I did was very childish and irrational.. But everything is so..difficult.. And hard to figure out.. You'd think it would be easy to take over the city considering the amount of times it has or almost has been taken over... But, it's just UGH!" she put her head between her knees in complete annoyance.

"I mean, we are only young Y/n, and not everything in the world is easy to achieve. But in time, we will figure out how the power of these gems work!" Exclaimed Valerie with a look of determination on her face whilst holding onto Y/n's hands.

Y/n's face flushed a light pink color and she looked away, "Y-you're right Val! We have to be more patient and take our time with this!"

"As much as I like Valerie's speech, we have pretty limited time before the ninja come back from their 'Mini Vacation'" interjected Alon, who looked down at his computer at the announcement the news made two days earlier that week:

'Currently the Ninja are on a Mini Vacation (even though they have already gone on one for months prior to the Aspheera incident) No one knows how long they'll be gone but hopefully not for long!'
