It was alas... Summer break. How I missed this summer feeling... So much. I realized...a lot had happened. I moved, made new friends, and there was Mei. I could never forget about... Feeling a tapping on my face... wondered who that was.
(Mei's perspective)
"Ryo is a very handsome boy... He looks so cute and innocent when sleeping..." I mumble as I gently move the hair from his face away. Uncle Ogi asked me a favor. I don't know why, but he said it's a secret, he'll tell us when Ryo wakes up. I'm quite excited...to be honest. I'm getting off topic...those chimes are such a nostalgic feel.
"Ryo! Wake up!" I squeal.
(Back to Ryo's perspective)
"What?! M-Mei...you scared me. What is it?" I smile blushing.
"Ogi has a surprise...though I'm not sure what it is. He wants you to wake up before he tells us." Mei blushes.
"S-sure! I-I'm up!" I run off to the bathroom. "Her eyes had this feeling...almost as if they were twinkling in excitement..." I blush uncontrollably.
"Mei, Ryo!" Uncle Ogi poses in a proud manner. "We are going to the park to fish!" He shouts in my ear. "Mei is pretty excited!"
Mei stands there like a puppy waiting for a surprise. She nods...that's so cute...
"Fine! Your choice Uncle Ogi! This is for Mei too! Let's have some fun. I bet I can catch way more fish than you both can!" I say in confidence. "Loser gets to take us out for lunch!"
"A-alright, Ryo! Sounds good!" She shoots a deadly glare.
Haha, Mei seems to be the competitive type. I pat her head.
"OHOHO. I accept your challenge, boy! Beat you to the car! Come on Mei!" Uncle Ogi shouts.
(Arrival at the park)
"Beautiful park eh, Ryo, Mei?" Uncle Ogi questions.
(Mei's point of view)
This park...this was the park I met Ryo in...the day he visited his uncle...the day I made my first friend. The park with the Sakura blossoms blooming and beautiful rippling waters. I could never forget this place...to think we would come here out of all the places. How nostalgic.
"Ne, Ryo. Do you remember?" I ask while looking up at the blue skies.
"Somehow...I have this familiar feeling..." Ryo replies.
(Ryo's point of view)
I can't remember...the pieces are lost. I can feel it...somewhat. This place reminds me of Mei.
"Mei, Ryo! You all comin' or not?! I already hit the pot of gold!" Ogi laughs.
"M-Mei! You okay?" I ask.
"Y-yes. Everything is fine." Mei replies, "let's go!" She smiles a faint yet beautiful smile.
(Fishing; Mei's point of view)
Come on! Grab a hold onto the hook! Eh, this one is a feisty one... Got it! I caught my first fish...
"Mei! You caught- woah! That's humongous, Mei! Wait, what is that?" Ryo asks curiously.
"Hm, not so sure..." I question in deep awe.
"Wuah! Amazing, Mei! You are a pro. PRO! Haha! I wonder what that even is!" Uncle Ogi finishes saying and goes back to fishing while concentrating on catching more fish than Mei.
(They finish fishing)
"Naha! I knew you were going to lose, Ryo!" Uncle Ogi pats my back.
"Ah, okay, okay, Uncle Ogi. I'll buy you all lunch!" I reply happily watching Mei laugh silently.
She looked so innocent and adorable, haha. "Let's go?" I shout.
