Tony and Pepper further investigate Killian's plans, discovering that he intends to target world leaders at an international summit, using Extremis soldiers as suicide bombers. Their race against time intensifies as they work to expose Mandarin's plot.

A key turning point in the story occurs when Pepper Potts is captured by Mandarin's and subjected to the Extremis treatment against her will. Tony must now not only stop Mandarin's plot but also rescue Pepper from the deadly effects of Extremis.

NOTE: Mandarin's Ten Rings will be wearing armor renamed to be based off different Iron Man villains like Blizzard, Whirlwind, Grey Gargoyle and more

As the crisis subsides, Tony and Pepper reconcile their relationship. They also ensure that Extremis is used for its intended medical purposes under the supervision of Dr. Tarleton. The film concludes with Tony reaffirming his identity as Iron Man, ready to face whatever challenges lie ahead.
