It was September 1st. I was taken to the platform by uncle Sirius and Moony who reminded me about his assignments and will come by once a week to take my assignments as well as to make sure I haven't gotten into trouble. Though I am still trying to figure out how a party pooper like him was apart of dads and Uncle Siri's pranking group. Sirius stood in front of me. I felt so many eyes.
"Alright puppy. Remember you promised to write your siblings every night and try not to get into too much trouble alright." Sirius said and Remus nodded.
"Remember you are also the heir to two major houses. So don't piss off another heir to the point where we get headaches alright?" He said.
"Yes I know." I muttered my hair turning green in annoyance.
"Have fun in Slytherin don't change too much in the snake pit alright." He mused. I smiled.
"I promise." I said as Dagger looked at them waiting for his talk.
"Dagger don't use another poor girl as a hanging rack no matter how funny it is. And keep Harry safe okay." Sirius ordered. He nodded.
"Alright have a good school year. I'll see you at Yule and he would see you next Saturday." Sirius said and I hugged them both before I got on the train and looked for a compartment that wasn't that full. I asked a few but apparently they were so scared of Dagger they basically slammed the door in my face before I even said my name or asked if I could. I found a compartment that had a girl and a boy with a toad. I knocked. I opened it seeing they looked at me. They stared at dagger.
"Um can I sit here. I promise he won't get off my shoulders..." I got out. My hair turned a light blue as I fidget.
"I don't mind." The boy said.
"I am alright though I really don't think snakes are on the lists." She said factually.
"They aren't. But he's one of my familiars. So the headmaster allowed it so long as he stays with me at all times." I said.
"Oh is there a difference?" She asked. The boy nodded.
"Familiars are magically bonded links between creatures and their witch or wizard. It helps stabilize their magical core as well as help the witch or wizard mentally. It's rare as it's hard to find them. But the stronger the bond gives different benefits can be found." The boy said. She looked curious.
"I have a book you can look at." I said shyly.
"Can I borrow that?" She asked perking up. I nodded and sat down and I smiled stroking the toad who seem to glean from contact.
"Oh I'm Hermione Granger. I'm a Muggle born but I can't wait to learn more magic." She said.
"I'm Neville Longbottom Heir of the house of Longbottom. Pureblood." The boy said.
"I'm Harry Potter heir of the house of Potter and Black. I'm a half blood." I said softly. Neville's eyes widdened.
"Wait your family is still alive. You all disappeared around holloween ten years ago. Only thing known was the place your family loved destroyed by dark magic and he who shall not be named cloak, wand and mark in the sky." Neville said stunned.
"I don't want to talk about it." I said my hair went light purple.
"What's going on with your hair." Hermione asked.
"I'm a metamorphosis. It's a Black Family trait. A rare magical ability that allows me to change my features on command as well as my emotions." I said turning my nose and mouth into a ducks beak and back made her looked awed.
"So what house do you think you will go into. I think it's a toss up between Ravenclaw and Gryffindor." Hermione asked.
"Gryffindor." Neville said.
"I'll most likely go into Slytherin. My parents and uncles say I'm too cunning and sly to be a Gryffindor." I said.
"Really you must be a handful." Neville mused. My hair went yellow. Blush filled my cheeks.
"I pick up things quick and I tend to get envolved with my studies and research. They say I'm reckless but I can easily talk my way out of things. Since that night I've been cooped up in wards so I'm let's just say a blank slate on how to interact with people. So I apologize if I do something that is not... well sociable." I said.
"Your studies. So you grew up learning magic?" Hermione asked.
I nodded.
"I will have assignments from my uncle to do as well as the ones our teachers would give. So I might seem a little busy at times." I said.
"How is that fair. Don't they know you have that work?" Hermione asked.
"Hermione, he is a heir of two houses. Heirs tend to get taught at home so they have time to do their duties during school. Plus I'm sure his family is worried for his safety due to the attack ten years ago. So they push him hard." Neville said.
"Well it's something like that. I basically zoomed through Muggle schooling. So to fill my time they started teaching me magic and I basically shot through that. Mum says magic to me is like breathing air." I said.
"So what's his name?" Hermione asked motioning to Dagger.
"Dagger." I said.
"Dagger?" Neville asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Sharp, dangerous and a weapon of chaos." I said. Dagger nodded. The door burst open. We all stared. It was a red head boy.
"Neville I'm Ron Weasley. You can sit with me I'm sure your being hostage with that snake threatening you. I can help you." Ron said pointing his wand at me and dagger. My hair went to the pale blue with red tips.
"You didn't knock." I pointed out. His face scrunched up and his wand suddenly snapped into my hand with a silent and wandless wand disarming spell.
"Hey give that back." He shouted.
"You were pointing it at me and threatening me and my familiar. That is a punishable offense that can be a five thousand galleon fee." I said softly. Hermione's eyes widdened. Neville looked ready to laugh.
"Ocean" I said softly. She popped in and landed on my shoulder.
"Can you take this wand and bring it to Dumbledore. He would know what happened." I said.
"Oi! That's my wand!" Ron shouted.
"But you threaten me and my familiar. Now go away." I said. My hair becoming more red with anger and annoyance.
