A Christmas like no other

It was right after the war with Gaea. All the demigods were tired of this constant war between them and the monsters. They needed a vacation, to recharge their batteries. They really wanted to have some time for themselves, and time to be teenagers. And the opportunity appeared from the corner: Christmas was approaching. After they reserved a cabin in the middle of the mountain, they quickly drove to it. They reserved it for 1 month, from December 5th to January 7th.

When they got there, all the tired demigods hugged. Then they distributed the 6 rooms. Percy and Annabeth in one lovely room with the mountain view, Jason and Piper in the room next to Percy's one, Calypso and Leo in the remaining room from the first floor, with its separate fireplace. Then upstairs Frank and Hazel got the room next to the stairs, Thalia and Reyna got the biggest room and Nico and Will got the last room, and the most beautiful one.

It was December 24th at around 5 pm. Outside, the little snowflakes were falling from the sky, in all colors, as the lights from around the cabin lit the place. Inside, in the living room there was a Christmas tree decorated with all kinds of representative decorations for each person. Above the fireplace were 12 stockings, one for everyone.

Percy and Annabeth were binge-watching the Harry Potter Series in the living room. They were holding each other's hands, Annabeth was resting her head on Percy's shoulder as Seaweed Brain rested his head on his girlfriends one's. A big fluffly blanket was covering their feet and lower backs.

-It's only me or here is a little cold? said Annabeth shivering a little.

-You're right. (And Percy looked at the fireplace he saw some carbonized wood with red, glowing veins going through them.) The fire went out. I'll go and start it again, you stay here.

And as Percy got up, he kissed Wise Girl on the forehead and then grabbed the blanket and covered his love with it. Annabeth looked like a burrito. Then the green-eyed boy went to get the fire started. He looked at the big pile of wood and then started to put some of them in the fireplace. After the wood was alligned, he took a match and started the flame. He waited a bit, looking at his Annabeth, who sat like a cat, in her owl PJ, watching her favourite movie. After the flames started to engulf the dead trees, Percy went back to his gorgeous goddess.

He then kissed her sweetly on the lips, as he sat with his back against the soft matress and his head against the fluffly and tender pillow. Seaweed Brain then opened his arm wide, and Annabeth snuggled up to her dork of a boyfriend. She put her head on his chest, and then tighten her grip over his lover's torso, in a deep hug. Percy got the blanket and with a little effort, he covered both of them with the fluffy cover and then hugged back his loving girlfriend, sometimes moving his hands up and down on her back. As Annabeth made herself more comfortable, burying her head into his chest, the loose gold locks from her messy bun were tingling the neck of her boyfriend. He didn't mind because he yearned for this moment a long time, him and Annabeth, cuddled up to one another and being alone without any threats. Also he adores to see Annie comfortable and he loves to play with her hair. He feels safe and loved, as Wise Girl. (And from time to time Annabeth would kiss Percy's chest and jaw, and in response her dork would kiss her on the top of her head.)

Meanwhile they could hear jolly Christmas songs from the kitchen next to them. There Calypso, Leo, Jason and Piper were baking gingerbread. Calypso and Leo were making the frosting for the gingerbread men and the icying „glue" for the gingerbread house. As they did this, Jason and Piper were responsible for the baking of the gingerbread and for the shapes of it. From the radio on the counter could be heard joyful songs about this beautiful time.

-I'm going to the bathroom, Piper can you come with me? said Calypso.

-Ok, answered Piper.
