Nyssa had already accomplished the initial phase of her plan, successfully expanding the empire's territories and conquering new lands for her people. But she was not satisfied. She wanted more - specifically, she wanted the throne for herself.
To achieve this goal, she knew that she would have to work carefully and strategically to manipulate her half-brother. She began to study his behavior, watching his decisions and the way he ruled with a critical eye. She also began to forge alliances with those at the Imperial Court who supported her and would work to secure her claim to the throne.
As the months passed, Nyssa carefully observed her half-brother, looking for any sign of weakness or misstep. She would bide her time until the right opportunity came along, and then she would strike. In the meantime, she worked hard to gain more power and influence within the Imperial Court, using her political savvy and persuasive skills to amass a following of loyal supporters.  

Her half-brother was well aware of her ambitions, but he was too busy with running the empire to do much about it. For now.
As time passed, Nyssa continued to plot and scheme her way towards her ultimate goal: the throne. She spent her days working closely with her half-brother, helping him rule the empire. She also spent her nights strategizing with her allies, hatching plans on how best to weaken her half-brother's hold on the throne.
Nyssa was patient, but she was determined. She knew that one day, she would get her chance to finally take what she wanted. That day was coming closer and closer
When the opportunity finally came, Nyssa was ready. She struck quickly and with precision, using her alliances at the court to convince the other nobles to support her claim to the throne.
Her half-brother was caught off-guard, and he had no choice but to resign his position as emperor. Nyssa had finally achieved her goal of becoming ruler of the mighty empire.
She was now the new Empress of the empire, and she would rule with a firm but fair hand. No one would ever challenge her again.
