The sun was starting to break on the horizon when Morgana woke up. Her eyes darted right to the window to check but it was too early. However, she can't shake the feeling of being watched. And it's not the kind that Merlin usually gives her.

Her eyes roamed around their chamber when they landed on the silhouette on Merlin's side of the bed. It registered to her that the figure was holding a familiar curved sword on its head with its tip aimed toward Merlin.

Morgana's eyes turned gold. Her hand stretched out and the next thing she knew the man was thrown out off his feet and his back landed on the wall. He landed on the table first tipping a flower vase before both landed on the floor and the vase shattered. The noise woke Merlin up and by impulse, he magicked all the candles to light.

"What happened?" he groggily asked. He turned to the strange figure on the floor of their chamber.

"An intruder managed to get inside our room, Merlin," Morgana answered.

"Morgana, the sword." Merlin got up quickly. He grabbed his tunic and a fur shawl and handed it to Morgana.

A few moments later, guards came inside their chamber. "Your eminence." the guards greeted.

"There's an intruder and he got the weapon to kill me. Chain him in the dungeons." Merlin commanded. The guards bowed and proceeded to haul the unconscious man.

"I can't believe it," Morgana uttered.

When the guards howled the man up, they took his head covering. It turns out to be Prince Alwyn Cadogan of Egolia.

Arthur was being assisted inside towards his throne where Gwen awaits beside him. In front of them is Alwyn kneeling while his hands are chained in front of him. The curved sword is placed beside Arthur's throne. Merlin and Morgana are standing on the side, with Morgana eyeing the prince regally.

"This is a disgrace!" they heard King Emeric roar just outside the throne room. Then the door burst open and the king strutted inside.

"You!" he pointed his fingers towards Morgana. "What have you against us, Witch!"

"Conduct yourself appropriately, Sire. Morgana may prefer the title Lady but she is the princess of Camelot. Mother of the next heir to the throne. You are not to disrespect her or there will be two of you chained in front of me." Arthur ordered but clutched his stomach.

"Arthur, calm down! King Emeric is just being emotional, as we all would be if put in the same situation." Morgana thought.

"Arthur, calm down! King Emeric is just being emotional, as we all would be if put in the same situation." Merlin uttered.

Mylla came inside after the King of Egolia, she went right behind Morgana and whispered. Except Deryk is nowhere to be found.

"Mylla, there will be discourse here. I'm sure you've heard what the disgraced knight attempted against Merlin. I want a full account of what has been said.

"I'm your eyes and ears, My Lady," Mylla assured.

"Merlin," Morgana called as she was heading out.

"Yes?"

"I'm going to have to attend to Myrddin. Hold the fort for me and make sure that Alwyn gets what he deserves."

"I will try my best. " even without looking, Morgana can tell that he's grinning like an idiot.

"Merlin, I'm serious. Deryk didn't come with Mylla and he's the one I appointed to guard the sword."
