Months passed,
We didn't talk to each other. After more than a year since we have talked, I knew that he was never going to say anything , so I grabbed up the courage to break the ice. I went up to him, it was just us in the corridor, I spoke up,
"Shaurya, I wanted to tell you something"
. "Yes??"
"Shaurya, I....I really like you"
"Sanya, we haven't even talked to each other for more than a year, like I don't get what you are saying",
I put my hand on his shoulder and said
"Shaurya, I really like you ,like seriously, I am not kidding or something".
He shrugged off, and walked out of the conversation,(like he always does ). I ran after him shouting his name , but he went away.
At that time, we were in ninth my new best friend was
Aditi, the shy girl , who was really a fun around,
and even Shaurya had a new best friend ,
Dhruv, the most extrovert, outspoken guy in the whole story.
Dhruv was a debater like me and Aditi was a part of the extempore club like Shaurya , so I and Dhruv were really good friends and so were Aditi and Shaurya.
So , one day Dhruv and Shaurya were standing randomly ( this was the time after my confrontation) I went up to them and said hi to Dhruv and just before I could turn to Shaurya and say something he walked away and sat at a bench nearby. I went there and sat on my knees and said
" listen Shaurya, I am sorry for what ever happened, now can you please just listen to me once"
"you are done saying sorry , right? So , it's OK . Now can you please leave me alone."
I was trying to talk to him but he was just ignoring me. I was really angry at him. So much so that when Dhruv jokingly asked me out ( which he does almost every time), I said yes.
Was this just out of frustration? Was this just to make Shaurya jealous? How would Dhruv react to this? Have I really fallen for Dhruv because we had more similarities than Shaurya and I had?
