As the two sides clashed, Astra took out a couple dozen soldiers with a single wave and sent an energy blast that knocked back several Chitauri. Yells could be heard all around her: from Thor knocking down several creatures with Stormbreaker's lightning, Scott punching a leviathan, Drax and Korg teaming up against Cull Obsidian, Tony and Pepper blasting all around them from the air, and way more.

Astra stayed in the air and continued to shoot energy blasts at the creatures. That was until she caught sight of Nebula and Gamora fighting side by side against five Chitauri soldiers. Astra went over to help and blasted all the soldiers into ash.

"Thanks," said Nebula.

Then Quill suddenly flew into sight and shot down more soldiers, until he was overpowered by one. Then Gamora shot it, saving him.

Astra and Nebula hid out of sight and shared a smile. Astra was really looking forward to this reunion.

"Gamora?!" Quill gasped, shocked as he deactivated his helmet. Gamora stayed still and Astra watched as Quill slowly walked towards her. "I thought I lost you." He placed his hand on her cheek.

A few seconds passed, then a grunt of pain as Gamora twisted Quill's arm.

"Ow," Quill groaned.

"Don't - touch - me!!" Gamora snarled, kicking him in the balls twice. Quill groaned and fell to the ground.

"You missed the first one," Quill grunted, "then you got 'em both the second one."

Smirking, Astra walked over to Quill. "'Sup, Peter," she said, helping him out. "I see you've met my sister from the past."

"Wha - ?!" Quill looked from Astra to Gamora to Nebula, then back to Astra.

"This is the one? Seriously?!" Gamora asked incredulously.

"I see you've both got questions," said Astra.

"The choices were him or a tree," said Nebula.

"Or a raccoon or a big bald man in prison when we met him," Astra added. "I know, they were pretty interesting choices."

As Astra flew back up to continue her fight in the air, she hear a conversation between Steve, Bruce, Clint, Scott, and Tony in her comm about finding the glove and keeping it away from Thanos. She ignored most of it and continued firing energy blasts and waves at incoming creatures and soldiers and backfired any blasts shot at her so that some creatures were incinerated with their own energy. Soon she found the glove: Ebony Maw was levitating it in the earth while T'Challa struggled to grab a hold of it.

"I got it!" she shouted, flying into the air. T'Challa tossed her the glove. She caught it easily and flew away, dodging blasts of energy coming from every direction and leviathans flying around her. Suddenly a blast hit her from behind and, startled, she crashed to the ground.

A girl who looked exactly like her was standing over her, unsheathing her sword as she dropped the blaster she was holding. She knelt down, arms outstretched, to pick up the glove that had slipped out of her hold.

"Hey! Pass it up here!" Spider-Man was swinging above Astra. She shot out an energy blast to shoot up the glove, and Spider-Man caught it with his web and swung away.

Then Astra turned back to face her past self. "I assume the future isn't how you thought it would be."

"Yeah. I thought this place would be emptier." Her past self swung her sword and Astra dodged it. "You've become too much of a Terran, Astra, and I'm disgusted. This is how I'm portrayed in the future, huh? A coward, a weakling, too scared to stand by the right side." She studied Astra's appearance in disgust. "Since when did you have wings, streaks on your body, and the power of an Infinity Stone?"
