A Series of Different Events

Meet Henry

In October Lorelai, Luke, and Liam came to visit. Rory went to pick them up from the airport. She was standing in the airport waiting for them to come out of the terminal.

"Rory!" Liam ran over and hugged Rory

"Hey!" Rory smiled

"How's it going, kid?" Lorelai asked

"I have a bone to pick with you" Rory said

"What did I do?" Lorelai asked

"Next time you book a flight, please take into consideration that the woman who picks you up from the airport has a newborn and a toddler" Rory said "and then pick a flight that doesn't land at 5 in the morning"

"Sorry" Lorelai said

After hugs and hello's, they made their way to the car. When they got to Rory's car, Lorelai walked around to the driver's side.

"Mom, you're in England" Liam said. "That's the wrong side"

"Damn it" Lorelai said. "Every time. Why is everything backwards here?"

Rory just laughed and shook her head.

When they got to the house only Logan was awake. Everyone was sitting in the living room. when Ari woke up. She walked into the living room with her monkey, and went straight to sit on Rory's lap.

"She doesn't care at all that we're here, does she?" Lorelai asked with a chuckle

"She's gotta wake up a little more before she can care about anything" Rory said. "Just don't pee on me, ok?" She said and kissed the top of Ari's head.

"Ari, I like your pajamas" Liam said. Ari had on footed pajamas that were black with little Jack o lanterns on them.

"It matches Henry" Ari said

"I bought them matching Halloween pajamas, and I think it's my favorite thing ever" Rory said

Just then they heard Henry crying on the baby monitor, and Logan got up to go get him.

"That kid sleeps so well" Rory said "I mean he's a newborn, so he's up every few hours, but he usually goes right back to sleep after we feed him which is great, because we get to sleep"

"That's good" Lorelai said. "Is Logan bringing him down?"

Rory chuckled. She knew her mom was antsy to meet the baby. "He's changing him and then he'll bring him down"

"Ari, how do you like your new brother?" Luke asked

"He's little" Ari said. A minute later she saw Logan come down the stairs with Henry and ran over to them. "Daddy, I wanna hold him"

"Let's let nana hold him first, ok?" Logan said and gave the baby to Lorelai.

"Oh, my god, he's so cute" Lorelai said. "Is it weird that I think he looks like you?"

"Yes, it is" Rory said

"Why?" Liam asked. "Ari looks like you"

"Ari came out of me" Rory said "she's supposed to look like me. Henry's adopted, so there's no shared DNA. It doesn't make sense that he'd look like me"

"I still think he does" Lorelai said

Around 1:30am, Logan went downstairs to make a bottle for Henry and was surprised to see Liam sitting in the couch.

"Why aren't you sleeping?"

"Oh, sorry" Liam said "did I wake you up?"

"No, the baby's awake" Logan said. "Are you ok?"
