I stupidly got the order wrong. The last chapter should have been "Jean & Marco" but, you know, I'm allowed to make mistakes every now and then.

Please let me know what you guys think. I've been going through some rough times these last week weeks and your comments always bring a smile to my face. It helps knowing my writing is, or could be, positively affecting my readers which makes me happy.

Marco is the oldest son and has six siblings. Because of this, he helped his parents raise his siblings, the other five being all sisters.

Because he is the only son, he is closest to his dad as they occasionally went fishing and hiking together.

Marco and his family are super close. When they learned he was enlisting in the military, they were sad to see him go but supported his decision from day one.

While in the Cadet Corp, Marco would send a letter to his family every few weeks, eagerly awaiting their return response. He hid nothing from his family. He told them everything he was learning during training, but after a few months, most, if not all, of his later letters became about you.

Having come from an extremely close family, Marco is a touchy-feely person.

The man loves giving hugs, giving a friend a pat on the shoulder, and offering an arm to someone in need.

When he first met you, you were walking out of the Mess Hall after the evening bell tolled and nearly fell off the steps. Being as close as he was, Marco caught you in his arms, laughing at your expression that you "trip over air".

From that moment on, he was hooked.

After that first meeting, the two of you became extremely fast friends, soon eating all your meals together and training whenever you were to be paired into partners.

He was also becoming fast friends with Jean who soon introduced the two of you together and soon the three of you were inseparable.

From the moment you met, Marco was very open about his desire to join the Military Police. He didn't care about wanting to be in the Interior, that was more of an added bonus. No, the soldier wanted, more than anything, to serve the King as best he could.

And Marco loved that you supported his decision from day one.

It was only a few months after meeting that Marco asked you out. You were still only soldiers in training and there was only so much free time the two of you had, but you had readily accepted, having admitted that you had been crushing on the freckled soldier since first meeting, just as he had with you.

If you weren't inseparable then, you definitely weren't separable the moment you became a couple.

Your friends in the cadet corps supported the two of you and weren't all that surprised when you announced your relationship. Most, especially Jean, Reiner, and Bertholdt, know you two had been crushing on the other for months.

One conversation the two of you ignored was what would happen after graduation. Marco wanted to join the Military Police but what about you?

You were conflicted about joining the Scouts but were considering working your way into the Top Ten without having told Marco, so you could remain by his side in the Military Police.
