Been meaning to write this chapter for some time. Surprisingly, I was able to finish it in one sitting!

CONNIE

Connie is the oldest son and has two younger siblings. He is a family-oriented person and loves nothing more than spending time with his siblings and playing with them, and the other kids from his village.

He is one of the eldest "kids" in his village, and because of this, he was always asked to help others with chores or whatever needed to be done.

He loves his entire family, but secretly, Connie is a momma's boy at heart. He will do whatever she asks of him. She wants him to go chop some wood? He'll bring back an entire tree. Does she ask him to help clean the house? He will make sure the entire building is spotless.

He has been teased by others in his village for being so short at his age, which led him to want to join the military. He left for his family and wanted nothing more than for those around him to be proud of something he accomplished on his own.

He still holds a slight grudge against those who used to make fun of him as he wants to prove to these specific people that he could make something of himself.

Once he joined the 104th Cadet Corp, he worked as hard as he could. But Connie is still Connie and would slack off now and then, especially with Sasha by his side.

He would occasionally send letters back home, but it wasn't something he remembered to do often.

Connie is something of a free spirit. He loves to crack jokes and tries everything in his power to lighten the mood if it ever becomes too tense. He is a man who will always be smiling. You know something is bothering him when he is not.

Connie can be touchy-feely, but he knows when someone is ok with being touched and when someone is not. He respects other people's boundaries and works on not being the person that makes others uncomfortable.

However, because of the way he expresses his jokes, he does tend to make others feel uncomfortable, but it's never intentional. Sometimes, though, he does lack the spatial awareness of knowing when not to say something.

He claims his life completely changed the moment he met you.

And he remembers that moment exactly how it happened.

It was the day of initiation and Connie had performed the military salute incorrectly, causing Shadis to lift the male from his head. The moment the Commandant released him, you quickly corrected his mistake. The two of you ran into each other that night and he profusely thanked you for helping.

It was a simple evening, but Connie swears he's liked you since then.

Though you two clicked, the beginning of your friendship was slow. You instantly grew close to Sasha at first who gradually incorporated Connie into the mix. It was several weeks later when you finally considered Connie a good friend.

From then on, Connie was a very open person. He loved telling stories about his village, his family, and his hobbies. The man was not afraid to tell you anything, and he loved that you listened with patient ears. That act alone made him feel heard; that his life did have a meaning to another person.
