Chapter 40

(It was early the next morning, when Letty finally got the courage to bring up the "mama" conversation. She was up because she couldn't sleep and decided to wake Dom.)

Letty: Dom.

Dom: 10 more minutes.

Letty: Dom come on wake for a second.

Dom: (opens his eye) What is it?

Letty: We never talked about what happened yesterday at the park. He called me mama and I just want to know how you felt about that. I'm not trying to take Elena spot, and I don't want him to grow up thinking I'm his mom.

Dom: Ok, first baby breath. Hearing him call you mama made me smile inside and it means he trusts you. You are his mother in a way because you will teach him things I can't, and Elena is not here to.

Letty: I just didn't want to cross any boundaries when it came to that.

Dom: (snuggles into her) I am more than happy for you to be his mama.

Letty: He has stolen my heart.

Dom: Hold up your my woman, don't be going giving my heart away.

Letty: Never, you know your my one and only. But he is your son and a Toretto and you know I have a thing for the Toretto men.

Dom: (smirks) Well I guess I can share you for a little while.

(She giggles as she wraps an arm over his abdomen and snuggles into him.)

Letty: Let's go back to sleep.

Dom: I'm up now.

Letty: I'm sorry, I just had to get that off my chest.

Dom: It's fine, I need to be up anyway.

Letty: Why what's going on?

Dom: Nothing, have to do some work on the charger and I'm thinking of show Brian the different tools.

Letty: Great, he's going to be building car by the time he's 3.

(He gets out of bed and goes to get ready for today. Letty lay back down and drift back off to sleep. She doesn't know how long she been sleep but the sun was shining through the window. She sits up and look at the clock and jumps out of bed. She grabs her phone and makes a call to see a OB/GYN. She get dressed for the day and hurry downstairs out the back door.)

Dom: There she is, it's about time you woke up.

Letty: It's past noon, why didn't you wake me?

Dom: You was sleeping too good to.

Little B: Ma ma, look.

Letty: What you got there?

(She walks over to them and place a kiss to Little B forehead.)

Dom: He's helping my tighten these bolts.

Letty: Mmmm, I have something to tell you.

Dom: What?

Letty: I have an appointment next Thursday to go get everything checked out.

Dom: You need me to come with you?

Letty: No, it's just a regular check up.

Dom: So we're really doing this?

Letty: I don't see why not, he's one now and by the time the next one comes he will be a bit older.

(He kiss her belly and then looks back down to Little B.)

Dom: That's for good luck.

Letty: (laughs) Your so corny.
