The medicine that Knude, the advisor, had given to Frode eased the pain and allowed him to make moves easier. They took a peg and wrapped a rope around it, securing the boat as they dragged themselves out of it while their shoes kept sticking to the wet sand. Frode was exhausted, and Odger kept draining the water off his clothes as the rest turned around and looked at the sun. Igor was irritated and distanced himself from the group as he sat down in a corner next to some palm trees. His elbows touched his knees as they glided down to the sand, drawing patterns in it.
"And now what?" He kept uttering before he realized that the rest of his brothers had taken a path that was leading to a forest, smirking as he couldn't help but follow with his gaze the directions of their footsteps. He got up and started walking after their trances, as he had to get some branches that were falling on his head from time to time, and he finally saw them. Knude was giving directions to Odger about what tools they will need to build their house while Frode was washing his face with water before looking back at him.
"Igor, instead of acting like the beauty that rests, could you please come and help the situation?" "We need to rebuild everything, and I'm not that good at construction."
"What's the point? Why would we even want to build something if it's going to be of no use to us in the long run?" I don't want to live in exile, nor will I accept Harald kicking me out of my own kingdom so his alliances can live with my riches and my defenses. This parody will end tonight."
"What are you talking about? Have you lost your mind? We went to avenge because you wanted to, and you saw how things ended up! We lost whatever was left of our army; we even lost our own weapons. If it weren't for your recklessness, we wouldn't have to pay the consequences. So the better I want you to do is get up and help us build the house. We chopped some wood there, go and carry them." Odger kept rattling, as he could barely restrain himself without being mindful of the words coming out of his mouth.
"Enough kids, you said enough. Each of you focus on the thing you are best at and stop fighting like crows. We have plenty of work to do, and I need you to focus." Said the advisor while wiping the sweat from his forehead.
