"Ok! I got it outside...now what?" Miguel had managed to get the Jesta outside by going out via the catapult runway door, surprisingly the ship had more power than Miguel had thought for it to open the door...the only thing that he didn't think of was purging the hanger of air before opening the door. Anything that wasn't tied down was now in space. Miguel couldn't help but chuckle as he watched various loose objects, including a stray wrench and a stack of data pads, drift away into the void of space. His excitement over successfully getting the Jesta outside had momentarily overshadowed the necessity of depressurizing the hangar. He made a mental note to retrieve those items later if they didn't float too far. "I'll get those later."
Inside the Jesta, Miguel adjusted his grip on the controls and began familiarizing himself with the mobile suit's movement capabilities. The machine responded smoothly to his commands as he tested the thrusters and maneuvering jets, getting a feel for its agility and responsiveness. As he gained confidence, Miguel began to push the Jesta further, well as far as a damaged mobile suit could take. He experimented with different combinations of movements, testing the suit's limits. It was a delicate dance of balance and precision, and he was determined to master it.
"This thing handle's pretty well, I think I should try to figure out how the weapons work...and I have a bunch of destroyed ships around me for target practice" He wasn't wrong, there was a whole fleet of ships destroyed, he wondered what happened at them, he looks back at the ship he just came from, it was clear it was damaged and banged up to hell but there were no holes or breaches in the hull. "Now that doesn't make any sense, how does this one not have any holes but all the others are like ripped in half...I'll think about it later. Back to figuring how to work the weapons."
Miguel's curiosity about the damaged ships surrounding him was temporarily set aside as he focused on mastering the Jesta's weapons systems. He toggled through the suit's controls to access the weapon configurations. The Jesta was equipped with a variety of armaments, including a beam rifle, beam saber, and a missile launcher in the shield holding two each and grenades in the side skirts. Miguel's fingers danced across the control panel as if he had done this before, bringing up information on each weapon's specifications.
He decided to start with the beam rifle, a versatile and powerful weapon. As he aimed at a piece of debris from one of the destroyed ships, he initiated a targeting sequence. The targeting reticle locked onto the debris, and with a gentle squeeze of the trigger, the beam rifle discharged a brilliant beam of energy that obliterated the target.
A rush of excitement coursed through Miguel as he witnessed the weapon's destructive capabilities. Next, he decided to practice with the beam saber, but he couldn't. It was missing, well actually the whole arm was missing, no arm, no beam saber. "Well that's a problem"
Miguel's initial enthusiasm waned slightly as he realized the Jesta's missing arm and beam saber presented a significant challenge. Nevertheless, he was determined to make the most of the situation. He continued exploring the mobile suit's other weapons systems.
Next in line was the missile launcher integrated into the Jesta's shield. Miguel accessed the controls, bringing up data on the missile loadout. He could see the small warheads neatly arranged in their launch tubes. It was a versatile weapon, suitable for both ranged attacks and intercepting incoming threats.
Miguel decided to test the missile launcher by locking onto a piece of debris from the damaged ships. He fired a missile, watching as they streaked through space, homing in on their target. The explosion upon impact was spectacular, confirming the effectiveness of the weapon.
He then moved on to check the grenades in the side skirts, making sure they were armed and ready for use. These could be invaluable in close-quarters combat situations, providing additional offensive options. After that he decided to go around and explore the other ships seeing just want kind of damage they had to them. As he pilots the Jesta around he begins to think
"...why am I doing this? I don't even know where I am and I'm shooting a laser gun at spaceships, I feel like I should be scared or worried or...something!" What I'm guessing is hours have already passed, 5? 6? I have no clue..." As Miguel thought to himself he wasn't paying attention to the screen as a warning in the shape of a triangle had been flashing meaning that the scanners had picked up movement, the warning then went to three, then 5, then 7. It wasn't until the cockpit started to produce a loud alarm, meaning that it had been locked onto that Miguel broke out of his trance. "What the-what's going on??!" He swings the Jesta around only to see the tip of a RPG round. With quick movement he pressed down on the pedals and ripped the levers to the left, the boosters burn at an blazing rate throwing the suit to the left avoiding the round as it slams into a ship and explodes.
"That was real, oh god that would have killed me!" The screen highlights four more rounds heading his way along with what fired them, AMS-129 Geara Zulus. "Crap!" The Jesta boosts upward dodging the rounds, but he would start to evade beam rifle rounds as the enemy got closer, up and down left and right. Trying his best not to get hit as he used the ships around him for cover. "Just what the hell are those things?!" Panic plagued his mind as his heart raced, he knew he had weapons and could fight back but his hands were shaking to much to grip the controls properly. "Just calm down-
