Sonic then stood still.
Everyone was confused, except for Silver. He knew basically everything.

[Silver's P.O.V]
I went up to Sonic and placed my hand on his shoulder.
''Don't worry, we're going to find her and everything will be alright again.'', I told him, reassuringly. I didn't want to admit that I was doubting it though.
Soon, I tried to calm everyone down and surprisingly it worked. We were walking for a while, so I started to hover above the ground instead. It was really nice to be able to do that! My legs wouldn't get tired and I wouldn't step on something I shouldn't.
As I look around, I see the Sun shining its way through the tree leaves and Flickies having not a single worry in the world. Oh, how I loved it. Sure, fire looks cool and all but sometimes I just wanna take a break. (That was sarcasm, I don't like all the fire.)A break from constantly worrying. A break from everything being so warm, but feeling so cold. A break from all the smoke and light.
It wasn't like that here.
And I really did appreciate the calming change.

{~2 and a half hours later~}

''Urgh, we've been walking forever!'', Rouge complained.
Shadow then barged in ''Is it that time of the month again?''.
''I T A P P E A R S I T I S .'', Omega commented, ''W E M I G H T B E A B L E T O S T A Y S O M E W H E R E S A F E F O R T H E N I G H T , I F A N Y O N E W A N T S T O H A L T N O W , W E M A Y .''

And with those sentences, they all found a place which was safe enough for them to stay the night. Soon after, the group fell asleep as Omega was watching out for any potential threat.
