At this point, Jinae just willingly let herself be dragged by Jisung to who knows where. She just watched as his fluffy brown hair bounced the further he pulled her away from her house..
Not a word was uttered after he last said. 'You'll see." And now it was just Jinae's thoughts doing their job of connecting the dots to at least get a hint of what was happening.
He was acting rather clingy at school, dismissed his friends anytime they got too close, what's he up to now? Jinae mused, still trailing behind Jisung, who had that serious look she liked on.
And before long, she soon realized that they stood afore the entrance of a local theatre that was tucked away in a fine corner of the city. "How about a movie?" Jisung finally turned to her, a proud grin on his lips.
And Jinae was so sorry she had to wipe that away with her next words. Not. "We've done this before," she told off, attempting to cross her arms but Jisung still had his grip on it.
But much to Jinae's surprise, his sudden jolly mood was still present, if not stronger than before. "Yeah, but my friends were over and basically ruined everything, how about a romcom?" He rambled, now pulling her inside the theatre.
"Romcom?"
"Yeah, I asked Minho and he said your favourite was on today, and seeing its a weekday, they'll be lesser people here, convenient right? According to Minho, of course!" Jisung continued raving, even when he paid for their tickets, got in line for snacks, beelined towards the showroom, he kept chatting animatedly, a mood that contradicted the one earlier.
They took their seats and not long after, the movie started playing, and twenty minutes into it, Jisung had lost his will to watch, not cause it wasn't interesting or funny, but cause his eyes were now on Jinae, at first to ensure she was having a good time, but now he just couldn't stop staring.
Now, its cliché, I know, but clichés are cliché for a reason. Rip braincells.
He'd struggled to pay attention but failed each time, and he craved talking to her but didn't want to interrupt and after slow seconds slipped by, the movie finally ended and Jisung pulled her out of the theatre, strolling through the slightly empty street, this was a less busy part of the city and it was only natural.
"Wanna grab ice cream before you head home?"
Jinae nodded "Yeah sure, along the way I could give you a quick recap about the movie."
"What? Why?" Jisung mused.
"I saw all the glances you threw my way, don't pretend."
"And I'd do it again," Jisung laughed sheepishly, tint of crimson dusting his cheeks.
Jinae chuckled to that, ruffling his hair. "The couple were really cute, though."
"We'd be cuter," Jisung budded in, taking her hand on his and intertwining their fingers, pleased with the sudden warmth that comes with his actions.
"Are you deadass, right now?"
"Do you want me to be?" Jisung countered her question. She just scoffed and looked away and that's when he added. "I am, jay, I really am."
