Chapter 3: The Aftermath

Ver and Hex got themselves cleaned up and taken care of after they finished up in the classroom. Hex had to carry Ver because his legs weren't working due to the actions that occurred. Ver clung to Hex's body as he was carried throughout the now empty hallways of the academy, making sure that no one would see them.

"Would you like to come to my dorm instead of going back home, darling?" Hex asked, smiling down at ver as he walked up the staircase leading to his dorm room. Ver shook his head, knowing Doppio would question where he was all day and that it would make the worry worse by not coming home at all.

Hex frowned a little and decided to carry Ver home where Doppio awaited his husband's return. Ver opened the door and carefully walked inside the house after shooing Hex away, only to be met with the eyes of Doppio staring at him. "Where have you been all day? and why do you look like you're in pain, baby?.." Doppio questioned before gently hugging Ver and lifting him up by the thighs. Ver nuzzled his face into Doppio's neck and yawned, "I was showing the new council member around the school today and while I was showing him around, I accidentally ran my hips into the sides of tables.... I'm sorry that I worried you.."

Doppio smiled softly and gently kissed Ver's neck, "Come on, lets get you a bath and then we can go to bed." Ver nodded and yawned again, feeling like everything was perfect when he was finally in Doppio's arms at the end of the day. "Can it be a bubble bath? Are you gonna join me?" The questions left Ver's lips as a soft mumble against Doppio's neck, knowing the answer to the questions would be yes once the small kiss was pressed to his temple.

Ver grumbled once he was set into the bathtub and felt the water run across his skin. Looking at Doppio softly before making grabby hands at him so he would get into the bathtub too. Doppio climbed into the tub and smiled, "I said i would join you, love."

Doppio gently bathed Ver and softly massaged his scalp. "You seem a little tense... Are you alright, baby? Did something else happen today?.." Doppio questioned and then watched as Ver shook his head, knowing he was lying to his beloved husband.

After they finished with the bath, Doppio helped Ver out and carried him to bed. He dried the both of them off and kissed the smaller's temple again before pulling him in by the waist. "Sleep well, my beautiful darling.. We have a whole two days to relax together away from school," Doppio whispered and smiled before rubbing Ver's waist.

Ver smiled as his eyes slowly fluttered shut while watching the taller smile, feeling content with how they were so close. Doppio slowly got up and grabbed a notebook, planning out the entire weekend to be their anniversary weekend. Once Doppio was done writing and planning everything out, he joined Ver back in and fell asleep with a goofy smile on his face, excited for the next day to come quickly.
