A/N: talk about lazy huh? Anywho, here I am again, ready to finish this off once and for all.

It had been several months since Reina had set off, and by now Adam was starting to get worried. Oftentimes Garret would find his friend sitting near the edge of town, staring down the main road in longing silence. Warhammer had set off on an adventure, promising to return before winter hit. Hazal and Arthur were left in the care of the two men, which led to Death being talked into babysitting during the day while Garret and Adam worked. Tonight was like most others. Garret had tucked the two kids into bed, before setting out to find Adam. Passing through the two square, he nodded towards Death as the old man exited his bar. Not too long later, Garret came to the main road leading in and out of the city. And sure enough, leaning on a wooden barrel situated at the very border of the city was the tall brunet man with distinctive burn marks over his face. Garret silently walked forward, standing next to his friend and resting a hand on his shoulder. "Adam, let's go" the red haired man said. "You have to eat." Nodding, Adam turned away from the road and made his way back towards his house in silence. Garret however, gave one last glance down the road, silently wishing for the safe return of his two friends.

Two days later and the sun was beating down, causing everyone in town to seek shelter in whatever cool places they could. "You'd never think it's late autumn" Garret huffed, leaning on the bar as Death slid another glass of ice water his way. Adam was melting on to the bar itself, his eyes unfocused. The two kids were moving back and forth, distributing drinks to customers as Death instructed. "I must admit, it is rather warm" the old man said. Garret and Adam gave him a viscous side eye, seeing as he was still wearing his three piece suit while most others had stripped off as many layers as legal. "Any news old man?" Adam suddenly asked. Death shook his head, placing another glass on the bar top. "Remember, just because I don't have news isn't a bad thing" the old man said. "If I had news, it would likely be because of her death. Last I heard was surrounding the death of a man named Lucius, which she apparently knew." Adam sighed, lightly banging his head on the bar. At that moment, the door to the establishment was thrown open and a young soldier from Garrets regiment ran in, quietly whispering something to the red haired man. Shooting out of his chair, Garret began to run as fast as his injured leg would carry him out of the bar.

"Death, keep an eye on the kids" Adam said, leaping up and following his friend. The two men followed the young soldier to the edge of town, where they came into sight of a large host of armoured men marching towards the city. "All troops, battle stations!" Garret yelled, immediately taking charge. "Signal the citizens to be ready for an emergency evacuation at a moment's notice!" Three soldiers saluted before running off, the rest forming an interlocked wall of armour and shields. Helheim was surrounded by a tall stone wall, with only one main entrance. Every citizen had their own ways in and out of course, but those were difficult to find for even the greatest trackers and detectives. Stepping ahead of their men, Adam and Garret marched forward, stopping several metres ahead of the opposing force. "State your name and business!" Adam commanded. Coming to a stop, the armoured ranks parted, letting three people step forward. One, a tall man with pointed ears and long flowing platinum blonde hair. The other two were female, one clearly younger than the rest around her.

"Elves?" Garret asked Adam, earning a nod from the brunet man. "Adam Staria, my how you have grown" the man said. "I remember meeting you as merely an infant crying in your mother's arms, and now look at you. A man worthy of the title of King." Adam narrowed his eyes, scanning over the group in-front of him. "I think you've been misinformed, I am no king" Adam said. "Helheim abolished its monarchy many years ago. I hold a seat on our council, true, but I do not rule solely." The elf before the two nodded, before finally taking note of the small force of soldiers behind Adam and Garret. "Ah yes, I should probably address the dragon in the room" he said. "My apologies for bringing an armoured force to your doorstep, but I was unsure of Helheims status after the sudden disappearance of the old king." Adam glowered at the mention of his father, but nodded slowly. "Very well. Garret, tell the men to stand down" the brunet man said. Garret raised an eyebrow, but stayed silent as he moved back to the lines of soldiers.
