17 (.10.23, for all my marvel fans 😭)

So, as all of my marvel fans who are reading this book (cough -Minchen, I think it's only you, so I dedicate this chapter to you- cough) know- today, Tony Stark died. October 17th, 2023, while defeating Thanos and saving the universe. Today, he is officially dead.
I actually wanted to make a chapter about MY LOVE Natasha Romanoff too, but since she died yesterday, this is the seventeenth chapter and I already did the sixteenth, I'm just gonna honour her in this one too.

Tony Stark
Playboy, billionaire and genius. And, of course, last but not least, an avenger. Great ego, which he can afford though- he did, after all, build his own suit and, after Pepper came into his life, he got more responsible. And we can't forget, he died selflessly. He agreed to the whole time-travel-idea because he wanted to save Peter. And Peter probably never knew that. Which makes me even sadder ;-;
After the whole thing in Afghanistan I'm pretty sure he had multiple anxiety attacks, but nevertheless, he continued on being one of the earth's mightiest heroes. He always did what he thought was right, what he thought would protect everyone (cough -suit of armour around the world- cough). And he died saving the universe and protecting his family.

Natasha Romanoff
Well, with Tony, you couldn't expect great speeches of me. Sure, I like him, "but nothing comes close to the golden coast". My girl grew up in the red room, trained to be a deadly assassin. Until Clint Barton, who was sent to kill her, "made a different call", because he saw she wanted out. And that decision changed everything. She worked for SHIELD, became an avenger and SHE was the one holding them together after the snap. She looked out for everyone- but who looked out for her? She lived her life, thinking she was evil because of the red room and wanted to wipe the red in her ledger out. All she cared about was her family, the avengers (and Yelena of course). She died to protect them, save the universe like Tony. She did good. And she couldn't believe that until the very end. She was a good person.
And also, WHY DIDN'T SHE GET A FUNERAL, IT MAKES ME SO MAD EVERY TIME-

They both died to save not THE world, but THEIR world.

And because that wasn't enough marvel-pain for today, here are sad headcanons/realisations :)

Natasha (realisations):
-She sacrificed herself because she had nothing to lose and everything to gain.

-She died not knowing if they would win.

-She wasn't there when Cap said „Avengers, assemble".

-In endgame, when Steve visits her and the scene zooms out to show them both, you can see ballet shoes on the chair on the right (my girl was so desperate 😭).

-Yelena named her dog Fanny after one of Nat's fake identities (Fanny Longbottom).

Natasha (headcanons):
-Every year on Yelena's birthday, Natasha would disappear from SHIELD and go to the forest to watch the fireflies.

-When she was angry at herself, she would dance for hours until Clint dragged her away for a break (this one broke me).

-After the events of Black Widow Natasha made a list of "sister stuff" that she was going to do with Yelena once all the fighting was over. Of course, they never got to do any of them.

-Clint sent Yelena a letter when everyone was back to tell her the date of Natasha's death. It was the day Fanny was born, that's why she got Fanny specifically.

-The first thing she did after Infinity War was go to where Yelena had been staying only to find a pile of ash.

Tony Stark (realisations):
-Doctor Strange brought Pepper to endgame because he knew Tony was gonna die.

-As I already said, Peter will probably never know he was the reason Tony said yes to the time-travel-idea.

-Peter could hear Tony's heart slow down because of his spider-senses.

-Tony once said that he could never rest until he knew Pepper was safe, which is why her last words to him were "you can rest now.".

-When he died, it was the first time Peter called him Tony.

Tony Stark (headcanons)
-Clint is reluctant to use the Stark arrowheads because it's all he has left of Tony.

-Tony refused to use headphones because he hated the idea of not hearing something that comes close to him.

-He was terrified when Pepper told him she was pregnant, because he was scared he would be just like his father.

-Morgan's favourite food always remained cheeseburgers and she would always sit by the lake, eat them and tell Tony about her day.

-(based off a fanfiction) Since Hank Pym and Howard Stark used to  work together, Hope and Tony got to know each other as kids and became incredibly close.

And they both had PTSD/ anxiety attacks. Periodt.
