"That's a wrap!" Liam exclaimed, as the boys had just finished recording their third album, Midnight Memories. Everyone in the studio was cheering, except for Louis, who sat quietly.

"Boobear you've been quiet, is everything alright?" Harry asked, concerned.

"Yeah, yeah. Just a little tired is all." Louis said, yawning.

"You boys mind if Lou and I head home? Not to be party poopers. I'm really proud of what we've accomplished today. I can't wait for the fans to hear it." Harry says, avoiding all eye contact with anybody in the room.

"No, not at all. Get some rest, Louis." Liam says, placing a hand on Louis' shoulder.

Louis and Harry walked out of the studio, hand in hand. Harry was pretty concerned because Louis never gets tired super easily.

They had just arrived home and Louis immediately lay in their bed. "Can I make you some tea? It might relax you a little more." Harry said, being the amazing boyfriend he was.

"No, thank you, Haz, I'm really tired. I could fall asleep any moment." Louis said, yawning.

Louis was the first one to fall asleep. He rolled onto his side in his sleep and Harry spooned him as he tried to relax and get the negative thoughts out of his brain. Was it normal for him to worry so much? I mean, Louis was just tired from all the time spent in the studio recently, right?

Harry pushed out the intrusive thoughts and fell asleep wrapped around Louis. He leaned into his ear and whispered, "I love you, Lou." He didn't need a response. He already knew how much they loved each other.

[The next morning]

Louis was first to wake up. He was in a great deal of pain. He was experiencing other symptoms along with the extreme fatigue. He didn't tell anybody though, because he didn't want anybody else to worry. If things got bad, that's when he would take care of it. For now, he just brushed it off. He walked to the bathroom to find some painkillers.

He needed something to take the pills with, so he went into the kitchen and started a pot of tea. He and Harry liked to drink tea in the morning. It was a thing of theirs that they had done for years.

[Flashback - 4 Years ago]

"I still can't believe we have this whole place to ourselves!" Louis exclaimed.

"Lou, it's not really a huge place." Harry chuckled. "It is really nice though. Our own apartment."

Harry and Louis had just moved into their own apartment at Princess Park. The other boys also had apartments here, but lived individually.

"Shall I make some tea for while we unpack?" Louis asked, wrapping his arms around Harry.

"Tea sounds good right now. Thanks, boo." Harry said, kissing his boyfriend on the cheek.

Louis made the tea and they drank it together as they unpacked their things from home. As Harry was rummaging through one of his boxes, he found something special.

"Aww Lou, look what I found." Harry said, handing Louis the picture frame.

"This was when we got put together as a band, I remember how we held each other. I can never forget how we first met though. You're so special to me, Haz. Who knew that you peeing on me would start something so beautiful?" Louis said, laughing and blushing profusely.

[End Flashback]

That same picture sat on Harry's nightstand. Louis didn't like reminiscing about the past, but with Harry it didn't matter. They never had any super bad falling outs. They had a love that was stronger than titanium.

Once the tea was done, Louis decided to sit down. Every bone in his body was aching. Why? He hasn't done any hard labor lately. He doesn't work out, like Harry does. He decided to give it a rest and stop worrying about it so much. He grabbed two painkillers from the bottle. Placed one in his mouth, took a sip of tea, swallowed. He repeated this process one more time. He prayed that there was something he could do for the pain. It was unbearable.

It wasn't long before Harry woke up. He headed to the living room to sit next to Louis. His eyes were red and puffy, like he had been crying. Before Louis could ask him what happened, Harry told him.

"I had a horrible nightmare." Harry said, sniffling.

"Oh love, do you want to talk about it?" Louis said, placing a hand on Harry's thigh.

"You died, Lou. You had some life-threatening disease and they couldn't save you. The disease ate you slowly until you were so weak you could barely even talk, or move. God, if I lost you- if I lost- if" Harry started uncontrollably crying. Louis was his world.

"Shhh, love. I'm not going anywhere soon. You'll have me until we're eighty years old. And even after that." Louis said softly, his voice cracking at the end. He too was holding back tears. It was no lie that they would have each other forever, but he knew that the inevitable was coming. He had to do something about it.

But he had to wait. He had to find a way to keep Harry distracted for a bit so he could go to the hospital by himself. He didn't want to worry Harry, especially after that horrible nightmare he just had. He wanted to keep this disease a secret for as long as possible. Louis was almost positive he knew what was going on, as it ran in his family.

Louis had lymphoma.
