The bond between Y/n and Yooin grew stronger as they lived together. Having Yooin by her side brought her a sense of comfort and family that she hadn't experienced in a long time. Yooin, too, found solace in their shared moments and the support Y/n provided.
Y/n's relationship with the Seventeen members continued to flourish. She enjoyed spending time with them, whether it was working on music, dancing, or simply hanging out. She was pleased to see that some of the members had formed a genuine connection with Yooin as well, which warmed her heart.
One night, the members of Seventeen, Y/n, and Yooin gathered at Y/n's place for a drinking party. They played games, shared stories, and enjoyed the sense of togetherness that had become an integral part of their lives.
They were having fun playing around and disturbing each other. Y/n smiled as she watched the guys letting their guards down, revealing their playful and goofy side.
Y/n's expression shifted as she read the threatening message that had just come in. Her heart raced, and she felt a wave of anxiety wash over her. "Y/n, do you think you can be away from us forever? We will always find you and Yooin."
Yooin noticed Y/n's changed expression and immediately came up to check on her. Concern filled his eyes as he asked, "Noona, are you okay? What happened?"
Y/n smiled slightly, gripping her phone tightly. "It's nothing, Yooin, just some work. Let me head up to the rooftop to settle it. You guys continue."
Yooin looked at Y/n, concern still etched on his face, but he nodded. "Alright, Noona. Just be careful up there. If anything seems off, come back down."
Y/n offered him a reassuring smile. "I will, Yooin. Don't worry too much. I'll be back soon." She stood up, walking to the door, while Yooin went back to continue the game with Seokmin and Minggyu.
Wonwoo's keen observation didn't miss the subtle signs of Y/n's distress. He couldn't ignore the feeling that something was off, as Y/n was not her happy and smiling self as she left the house. He decided to follow behind.
As Y/n reached the rooftop and was alone, not knowing Wonwoo followed her, she stared at the number on her phone screen and decided to dial it. Her hands trembled as the call rang.
"Y/n-ah, my lovely daughter," Y/n's father picked up the call.
Y/n's voice quivered as she tried to maintain her composure. "What do you want?" she demanded, her words laced with a mix of fear and anger. Deep down, she had always feared this moment, the possibility of her abusive parents tracking her down.
Her father's voice dripped with malice. "Oh, Y/n, you can't hide forever. We'll find you, and when we do, you'll pay for leaving us."
Y/n clenched her teeth, struggling to hold back tears. She knew she had to be strong, for both her sake and Yooin's. "I won't let you hurt us anymore. You'll never find us."
Y/n's tears flowed uncontrollably as the weight of the phone call and the fear of her past came crashing down on her. She had to protect Yooin, and she couldn't let her parents get to them. She couldn't hold back the flood of emotions any longer, and she found herself sobbing on the rooftop, feeling overwhelmed and helpless.
Wonwoo watched from a distance, shocked to see Y/n breaking down. Y/n had always shown a happy and brave front when with them. He knew that whatever she was going through, he needed to be there for her. Stepping forward, he approached Y/n slowly, not wanting to startle her.
"Y/n," he said softly, crouching down beside her, "you don't have to go through this alone. Whatever it is, you can talk to me. I'm here for you."
Y/n's shoulders shook with each sob as she heard Wonwoo's gentle words. She slowly lowered her hands from her face and looked up at him, her eyes red and teary. The vulnerability in her gaze was evident as she whispered, "I... I don't know what to do, Wonwoo. They found me, and I'm so scared."
Wonwoo placed a comforting hand on Y/n's back, offering a reassuring presence. "It's okay, Y/n. Calm down, tell me slowly, alright."
As Y/n began to open up about her past, her voice trembled with the weight of her experiences. She recounted the painful memories of her childhood, the abuse she had endured, and the courageous decision to leave her family behind to protect herself and Yooin.
Wonwoo listened attentively, his expression filled with empathy and understanding. He didn't interrupt, allowing Y/n to share at her own pace. When she finished, he gently squeezed her shoulder and said, "Thank you for trusting me with your story, Y/n. You've been incredibly strong, and I admire your bravery in protecting your brother and yourself. Let's find a way to keep you both safe."
Y/n nodded, leaning her head against the wall. Wonwoo continued to offer his support, sitting quietly with Y/n as she leaned against the wall. The night air was cool, and the rooftop offered a sense of solitude and peace amidst the chaos that had entered Y/n's life once again.
"Oppa, could you keep this from the rest, especially Yooin?" Y/n slowly said. "I don't want to affect him now that he's finally able to be happy."
Wonwoo nodded in understanding. "Of course, Y/n. I won't say anything to the others or Yooin unless you decide it's the right time. Your well-being and your brother's happiness are our priorities. You can count on me."
He gave her a reassuring smile, letting her know that he would respect her wishes and protect her secret until she was ready to share it with the others.
As the night continued, Y/n seamlessly slipped back into the cheerful and vibrant persona that she often showed to her friends. Her ability to mask her pain and worry was remarkable, and she engaged with the rest of the group as if nothing had happened.
Wonwoo couldn't help but admire her resilience and strength. However, there was a lingering feeling of concern in his chest, a sense that there was more to Y/n's story than what she had shared. He knew that he needed to be there for her, to support her in any way he could, even if it meant respecting her decision to keep her past a secret for now.
