Chapter 2 : My Strength

      As a bishop,constructing a steady magic circle is the first and most difficult thing you learn....., but guess what...., I never learnt it. From the first day I constructed a magic circle, it was as steady as that of a B-rank bishop.
     People are ranked according to their capabilities; D-rank, it is the rank you give beginner, it's like a rank given to babies. C-rank, it's for people who can perform basic things ,it's not that big of a deal. B-rank, this rank is given to people whose skills have been acknowledged, they've gotten to combat level, for bishops, they are able to cast attack spells. A-rank, this is my rank, it's given to people who have mastered their abilities. I for one don't think I've mastered my abilities, but it's what the house of bishops thinks, so I can't question it.
      Finally, the S-rank, it's given to people who are specialists, people who can invent skills. These people are the strongest, thinking about their level of strength makes my spine crawl.
      Here i am, an A-rank bishop against an A-rank king.
                    "Light spear" King conjures a spare from thin air.
                     "He's mocking me" I say as I chuckle.
     Kings light spear is one of his medium powered spears, which means he's not taking me seriously. I'll teach him.
                     "Here I come Ella" shouts King
     He moves faster than I calculate, his stance is a little bit different from normal, oh well, this isn't a time to be calculative.
                      "Forest wall" I cast a tree type spell. "Solid orchard" followed by a fortification spell. "Huh?" I gasp in confusion.
       Something was wrong. I take a close look at King and I noticed he had a very cunning grin on his face, what was he planning......that was it, it was a clone, an illusion, which means......
                        "Reflect!"bI cast a mirror spell on my already casted spell to reflect it behind me.
                        "Too weak"bKing  shouts as he cuts down my reflected forest wall.
                   "Ahh!!" I scream as the force from Kings attack pushes me back.
         I stop myself from hitting the ground. King is definitely stronger than I thought he was. I have to up my game.
                   "Wind vail" i cast a concealment spell on myself, "wind balls" followed by a long distance wind attack, "Reflect" I also cast a mirror spell on my opposite side to hide my position, "Maximize" I further multiply the number of reflections, so as to make it even more difficult to know my position.
            I use a chain of magical spells to distract king just so I can get close enough to him and deal a final blow.
                    "Wind punch!" I punch him in his abdomen which sends him flying into a tree.
                    "Garrrrrrr!!" he screams out in argony.
            I release my spells. My mistake was assuming the fight was over. In five seconds, King got back to his feet and before I could ready myself for his attack, he was already behind me.
       A series of attacks came next. First, a punch to my neck, then he sweeps my feet off the ground and smacks me into the ground.
                 "Ella!!" I could here jeff scream from the trees.
      King steps back to see if I was out or not.
                 "Hey king, I thought you said you were going to go easy on me?" I asked with a smile on face.
                  "I lied"King replies.
       I feel blood drip from my head. This shouldn't have been a problem, but we aren't allowed to heal during duels.
                   "Alright King, let's finish this"
                   "I agree" King says
       We both take our stance, this will be my last attack, I'm not in the mood to keep this fight on for any longer than it already has. If I can't put King down here then I'll let him win.
                "Here I come" King shouts out, "light lancer, star thrust"
       King lunches a fast moving light blast. I have to block and then attack simultaneously.
                 "Heavens gate" I cast a shielding spell, "guardian angels" followed by a fortification spell.
                  "You can't keep hiding behind your shields forever" says King as he dashes towards me
                    "Who says I am hiding?" I say as I jump into the air "meteor shower" I cast an earth type spell showering stones down on King.
        The stones being a form of distraction, I run towards king and shout "it's time to end this".
         Little did I know that I was being setup. King expected my follow up attack and had something waiting for me.
                      "Ultimate lancer, falling stars"
     He conjures hundreds of light spears around me and immediately I enter his attack range, they rain down on me. Once the attack was over, I try getting up but the moment I lift my head King was standing over me with his spear at my neck.
            "Its over Ella, yield"
            "I yield, good fight"
            "Duel over" Miss Vivian shouts
            "Yeeeaaahhh!!"shouts the entire class.
      I guess the fight was that epic,but it was most likely that they were cheering for King.
     I face in the direction of miss Vivian and I could sense she had mixed feelings, she was proud and sad at the same time. All I could do was smile at her and she smiled back.
