Fletcher awoke early in the morning taking in the golden sunrise and looking at his empty room. He felt excited to finally attend Vocans but he would miss the palace. Fletcher moved to open the door pulling on the handle and steeping into the long corridor. He had the urge to run down these halls like he did when he was little. He picked up his pace before realising he was still in his nightwear. He quickly ran to his room and grabbed the clothes he had left out and his summoning scroll.
Fletcher walked out his room again this time running through the corridor before slowly down to a walking pace. He passed guards that stood still like statue's and the occasional servant. He went into the main hall walking through the open doors while giving the guards a nod.
He summoned Athena allowing her to stretch her wings and debated wether to summon Circe. He eventually summoned her after heading to a more grassy secluded area of the plaza. She looked at him angrily before calming down. Fletching commanded her to sit as he reached out to stroke her head. She was a strong creature with spines on its sides and a small ones on its back. Its claws sharp as a knife and stinger long and deadly. Fletcher felt discomfort as he stroked her head but to his surprise it showed him a small amount of affection licking his hand. He knew he could ride her as long as he was careful with her elegant bat like wings. He smiled at the creatures making eye contact with it. He put his head on hers.
He stood up looking at the castle. He could sense Circes hunger so he commanded Athena to come back and infused her. He walked with Circe into the castle as the guards stared at her with fear in their eyes. Fletcher called a servant over telling them to arranged for raw meats to be at breakfast. He walked over to the dining hall empty with most still sleeping. He sat down with Circe lying down at his feet. He looked at Circe who was resting feeling unsure about her. Manticore were known to have a hateful temperament but he knew that they can be affectionate to their owners if treated well. Before long a servant walked in with a large array of raw meats. He could sense Circe wanting to savage the food but he commanded her to wait until the servant had left. As soon as the servant left the room Circe began devouring the food finishing it quickly. At this moment Boudica (Lady Hastia) walked in with King Harold. They greeted Fletcher and looked at Circe with curious faces. Fletcher called for them to sit as he explained what he's been up to this morning. Boudica said "You must be careful with Circe she may have formed a bond with you but she can still harm those around you".
Fletcher sighed had a glance at Circe and a said with a grin plastered across his face "So no infusing her outside private areas"
"yes" Harold said
Fletcher knew for once in his life he would blatantly ignore Harold's advice he wanted to show off Circe to the nobles but keep her hidden from the commoners so that rumours spread about Circe. He knew she would sound terrifying and she looked deadly.
A dwarven servant entered the room with a plater of eggs and toast and a array of meats which snapped Flet her back to the reality that he had barely eaten.
He devoured the food with as much manners as he could muster making light conversation with them. He excused himself and left the dining hall.
The rest of they day was filled with boring meetings that Alfric insisted he attend and before Fletcher knew it he was sleeping once again excited for the next day.
It a few days had passed and it was finally the day he got to go Vocans. He got ready putting on his uniform before walking to the carriage savouring every step. He had said his goodbyes last night being eager to depart.
His belongings were already on the carriage or already delivered to Vocans and he knew the nobles who would be there.
Fletcher had arrived at the carriage ignoring the servant who bowed every so slightly. He sat down and watched as he left the plaza. He was soon met with the bustling city watching as vendors called out their foods. In truth Fletcher was never allowed to go anywhere without someone watching him as the public viewed him as the unofficial prince even though he wasn't technically in line for the throne.
The city soon was left behind and Vocans was in sight. He knew he would see his cousins again which filled him with excitement. The twins were a bit egotistical and thought they were better than everyone else especially dwarfs and elves. Fletcher on the other hand didn't mind dwarves as much and had only met elves a couple times in his life.
Harold had told him a chieftains daughter was attending and a dwarf, and to make them feel welcome. The noise of the drawbridge being lowered alerted Fletcher that they were entering Vocans.
Servants rushed out taking my bags and a servant who introduced himself as Mayweather led him to his room. It was still early in the morning and breakfast was to be served in about a hour. When Fletcher arrived in his room he watched as his bags were placed inside and the door was closed.
He instantly began unpacking his clothes placing them in his very large wardrobe. His room was large it had a kings sized bed, 3 wardrobes, a desk and it had it's own private bathroom with a shower. Fletcher had been in his room for 5 minutes before someone knocked on his door.
He went to open it seeing Malik Penelope and Rufus. His face shot into a large grin as he greeted them. He didn't see Malik often as he lived far away all the way towards the Akhad dessert.
They reunion was cut short as Isabella and Tarquin walked towards him. They shot him a grin as Fletcher shook tarqins hand. Isabella stepped into his room before turning to Fletcher and whining "Why is your room bigger than mine"
I looked at her and choking back a laugh before saying in a sarcastic tone "because I'm better than you"
Her face fell into a frown before she laughed slightly saying "You know if you need help unpacking you can always call over some servants"
Fletcher could see Malik roll his eyes before saying "How's Athena
"She's on high alert after the incident" I said grinning.
By now they had all heard about Circe and what how she attacked him when he first summoned her.
Penelope had a crazy grin on her face and said "my mother told that she had to supervise it and it had tried to attack her more than once"
Fletcher looked at her and said "sounds like her. Anyway do you want to meet her I promise she don't bite"
Tarquin quickly nodded while some of the others looked a little more hesitant. Fletcher had to fight back a laugh as he stared at Rufus face as it went slightly paler than usual.
He invited them all into his room and he opened his bag with his summoning leather. He summoned Circe looking at there surprised faces.
Manticore were rare demons and extremely powerful so the group was surprised when the now tame Circe walked towards them. Fletcher called out to her and she picked up the pace.
The other nobles had stepper away retreating to the corner of the room meanwhile Fletcher scratched Virce neck.
"I thought she would be bigger" Tarquin said trying to hide the fear in his voice.
Fletcher laughed slightly before infusing her before Rufus had a heart attack. His face had been drained of colour the red replaced with white.
He say down on his bed and made conversation with his friends. Before they knew it they were late for breakfast so they began to walk to the hall. Fletcher finally felt relaxed and was excited for the days ahead.
---------------------------------------------------------it's me again yay!
So we are finally at Vocans. You will see a couple of new people soo maybe a new noble appearing o.O
Also serious question should I find a way to bring Ignatious into the story because I don't want Fletcher to be too powerful
Also feel free to give me any suggestions or correct me if something doesn't make sense. I wrote most of this chapter a week ago then forgot about it
