Luke looked at Amelia. His expression looked mortified when he was actually really happy for her.

"Wait, what?! On the first day?!"

Amelia looked up at Luke with an unpleased look.

"Ok, don't act like i was the first person who fell in love with their so-called 'best friend' since they've started."

Luke looked away. Blushing embarrassingly. He quickly scratched the back of his neck as Amelia looked at him with a smirk

"Mhm. That's what I thought."

"H-hey!"

Luke nudged Amelia playfully. At the same time, Amelia was giggling a bit playfully. And then stayed quiet whilst still walking down the path.

They both eventually made it to their house. Luke gently knocked on the door, waiting for someone to open it.

Soon enough, their father (Philip Peterson) opened the door. Amelia and Luke filled up with joy, knowing their dad had arrived from work.

"Hey, dad!"

Amelia exclaimed. Philip was happy to know his children had missed him, regardless of how long he was gone for.

"Ey Amelia! Come in!"

Philip stepped back to let Amelia and Luke in. They entered, and after taking their shoes off, Amelia shot upstairs.

Luke and Philip looked at each other, confused. After a while, Luke formed a smug on his face, knowing why Amelia ran upstairs so urgently.

"What was that about?"

Philip said a bit concerned.

"Nothing bad. Hold on."

After that, Luke shot upstairs. Maria, who was in another room, came in and looked up the stairs confused.

"What is it with teenagers and stairs?"

Philip just shrugged at the question. Maria and Philip then both left and went into the kitchen.

Luke was standing outside Amelias door. Ready to open the door. After a while, he opened it to reveal Amelia countlessly scrolling on her phone.
She sat on a rug on the floor.

"What are you doing?"

Luke said. Amelia got startled at the sudden words.

"JESUS CHRIST LUKE!"

Luke laughed, then walked to where Amelia was sitting, now standing behind her.

By the looks of it, Amelia was on google. Luke took a deeper look at what she was searching. It said something like,'Am i in love with my girl, bsf?'. He was shocked. Was Amelia gay?

"So you like girls?"

Amelia immediately looked behind her. Frightened of what he's gonna say. She started shaking a bit.

She hadn't come out.

"Uhmm."

Luke noticed how anxious Amelia was. He walked forward and then sat right next to Amelia.

"It's ok."

Amelia started tearing up a bit.

"I don't know exactly. I'm struggling with so much stuff at the moment. I'm way too shy and scared to tell anyone."

Lukes eyes expanded. He was so worried about this specific topic.

"Amelia."

"Mhm.?"

Amelia turned her head to look at Luke. Luke almost immediately teared up how, actually broken, her eyes looked.

"Why didn't you ever tell me."

Amelia looked down. Feeling guilty.

"I don't know. All of it is just a waste of time. You wouldn't want to just listen to me rant about the most emotional crap ever. Other people have bigger problems."

Luke was that kind of person to have a lot of empathy. especially to people he was close with.

Luke sobbed. Hearing how broken the sentence was. Anelia was confused about why Luke cared so much.

When he stopped sobbing, without any hesitation, he immediately hugged Amelia. Amelias eyes expanded.

"Ami, please. Don't just bottle up your emotions like that."

"I'm trying. It's just that. That."

Amelia was now crying. Loud. It hurt Luke so much to hear how desperate her crys were.

He embraced her tighter. Then, soon after, Amelia hugged him back. Sobbing onto his shoulder.

"You know I care for you, Ami. I want to help you. If it's the last thing I do. You mean so much to me. I don't want you to go as far as...harming yourself."

He choked on those last words. Amelia was so shocked at how much Luke actually cared for her.

"You..actually don't mind?"

"Of course I d-dont! Ami, I love you!"

He pulled away from the hug on those last words to look at Amelia dead in the eyes.

Amelia smiled. She felt even more tears rolling down her face. But they weren't sad ones. They were indeed happy tears.

"I.. I love you too, Luke."

Amelia and Luke just continued to look each other in the eyes. They had a sibling bond no one could ever break.

"Hey, uhm. Can we talk more about this another day? It feels good to talk to someone."

"Yes, of course! I'll always be there for you!"

"You will when you're not making out with that purple dude."

Amelia laughed. Luke was blushing like crazy.

"HEY AMELIA!"

"Yeah. You love me, don't you."

"I'd be lying if I said no."

They both had their last chuckle together. Before just sitting next to each other, gazing at Amelias walls.

"I think dinner will be ready soon. Are you coming Ami?"

"Nah. I'm not hungry."

Amelia said. Now scrolling on her phone again. Luke stood up and went to the door.

He opened it and then looked back at Amelia. He smiled and then left

Everyone had their meal. Well, almost everyone. Amelia was meanwhile on her bed, trying to sleep. Luke entered Amelias room and saw how she was trying to sleep.

"Luke. I swear it's so hard to sleep."

Luke chuckled and walked towards Amelias bed. He sat down next to her and then shortly after hugged her.

Amelia was (again) confused.

"What are you doing?"

"Helping."

Luke simply said. He hugged her tighter. It was actually working, Amelia felt more tired than before.

Without Luke noticing, Amelia actually fell asleep. After about 10 seconds, Luke finally noticed that Amelia had fell asleep

'Oh. It worked? Should I stay here orr'

Luke thought. After a few seconds, he made a decision to just go. So he gently put her down on her bed and pulled the covers over her, then quickly left to go to his own bed.
