"Maya, you need to have some hope," Riley said as she was sitting in Topanga's with her best friend and her boyfriend.

Maya had looked at Riley and saw how things could be. She saw as people came in and out of the small bakery with the memories that she still held onto her, and in her heart. She had shaken her head when she saw how Josh walked into the bakery. She knew what she had to say; she's known for days now. But she couldn't say it. She looked at Topanga and then back at her friends.

"I've got an idea," Maya said as she walked up to Topanga.

"This karaoke night still going on?" Maya asked as Topanga nodded.

"Hey, niece, Friar. What's Maya doing?" Josh asked as he took what used to be Maya's seat.

"I have no..." Lucas said as Riley saw how Topanga gave Maya a mic.

"Ooooh, this should be good. Let's go, Maya!" Riley cheered her best friend on as she got onto the stage.

"Hey, guys. My name is Maya Hart and... Um... I've never had it the easy way of telling people how I feel, but I want to be able to tell someone what he means to me," Maya said as she looked at Josh.

"This song is for him."

"You ready for this?" Riley asked as Josh just looked at Maya.

"And all I remember is your back
Walking towards the airport, leaving us all in your past
I traveled fifteen hundred miles to see you
Begged you to want me, but you didn't want to
But piece by piece, he collected me up
Off the ground, where you abandoned things, yeah
Piece by piece, he filled the holes that you burned in me
At six years old and you know
He never walks away
He never asks for money
He takes care of me
He loves me
Piece by piece, he restored my faith
That a man can be kind and a father could stay
And all of your words fall flat
I made something of myself and now you wanna come back
But your love, it isn't free, it has to be earned
Back then I didn't have anything you needed, so I was worthless
But piece by piece, he collected me up
Off the ground, where you abandoned things, yeah
Piece by piece he filled the holes that you burned in me
At six years old and you know
He never walks away
He never asks for money
He takes care of me
'Cause he loves me
Piece by piece, he restored my faith
That a man can be kind and a father could stay
Piece by piece
Piece by piece
Piece by piece
Piece by piece
Piece by piece
Piece by piece
Piece by piece, I fell far from the tree
I will never leave her like you left me
And she will never have to wonder her worth
Because unlike you, I'm gonna put her first and you know
He'll never walk away
He'll never break her heart
He'll take care of things, he'll love her
Piece by piece, he restored my faith
That a man can be kind and the father should be great
Piece by piece
Piece by piece
Piece by piece."

Josh had looked at Maya, in a way like he was amazed, but more because he never felt what he did feel on that moment. He watched as she sang the song with all of her power, draining every bit of her emotions into the song. He smiled at Riley while both she and Lucas just looked at them.

"You know what you want," Riley said as Lucas scooted closer to Riley when the song had ended.

Josh looked at everyone as he had run up to the stage, Maya looking speechless at him. It was like the moment was there.

"Josh, I..." Maya said as Josh leaned forward, cupping her cheeks, and kissed her.

Maya went deaf. She couldn't hear anything. She didn't hear Riley yelling 'nice job' or Lucas yelling 'finally'. All that mattered in that moment was what she and Josh had gone through. Maya threw her arms around Josh's neck deepening the kiss further as she smiled into it. She finally did it; she got her prince.
