THE CURSE

CHAPTER 1:THE BACK STORY OF KIMBERLY

Kimberly is a 21 year old girl, that is very intelligent and smart also at the same time and has found out more things than any other adult.

6 YEARS AGO
"At the dinner table", Kim was at the dinner table with her parents she asked her mother what they were eating for dinner, her mom started to stammer,c-h-i-c-k-e-n l e m m e e ch-e-e-e-c-kk ,"then her mom ran to the bathroom", then she asked her dad if her mom was going to be alright ye-ss l-e-t m-ee ch-e-e-e-c-kk o-n her just then her dad also ran into the car bathroom ,because he was stammering too just like her mom. Kim ran to the bathroom door to check on her parents, "just then she tilted closer and she heard her mom say its the CURSE ,Mark".
"Just then her parents came out of the bathroom, mom, dad are you okay " yeah, its just a slight cold.
" Kimberly, what I wanted to say was that I made" Chinese fried rice and fried chicken and your favorite sauce. "wow mom delicious i thought we were eating something more healthy".Kim can you just eat and don't criticize anything, fine mom (SHE ROLLS HER EYES).

AT MIDNIGHT 1:00am
"Kim woke up to go to the bathroom",and she overheard her
parents talking. Mark, "we are running out of time it's the CURSE please we have to do something ".
"We need to do something," we need to think you know what we are we can't...(KEYS FALL DOWN AND CLANGING).
They had no idea Kim had been listening.
"Meanwhile, Kim had tip toed back to her bedroom",pretending to be asleep.
"Her dad went to where they heard such a terrible noise",Oh Amanda it was just the keys.

IN THE MORNING
"Kim couldn't stop thinking about what she heard say last night".
"it was a Monday morning, it was a school day ".
"She took a nice morning bath and got ready for school,"At school,Kim was in the 10th grade ".Kim, "her mom shouted",your school bus is here!!!.
Mom I can see. (SHE ROLLS HER EYES).
AT SCHOOL
"Kim was at school,"it was fifth period and Kim got bullied, which was usual by Taylor and her group members, "this time Kim couldn't take it any longer", "they had a fight," and the principal was called, "all of you in my office now!!.
"Kimberly Houston,you got into a fight".
"Miss Chloe I didn't mean to (TAYLOR ROLLS HER EYES).
"So Taylor, nothing to say right", because you know what is right and wrong.
All of you detention till 5:30,I'll call each of your parents,and say you are running late, you guys are dismissed.

AT HOME
"Mark,what are we going to do."
I don't know Amanda.
"We have to go back to the witch."
And see if she can buy us some more time.
"But who are we going to trust Kim with".
"I hate to say this but we will have to let her go".
"Of course not, we're vampires Mark, we couldn't give birth to a child, we begged a witch to help us get a child suddenly you are telling me to let her go. She doesn't even have any where to go.
(A CALL ON AMANDA'S PHONE).
"Who is it,Mark asked".
It is the school's office,"replied Amanda ".
"Hello".
"Hello, this is the principal Kim got into a fight."So she is in detention, she isn't going to be home until after detention, "said the principal".
"OK, thank you".
What was it all about,"asked Mark".
"Kim got into a fight now she's in detention till 5:30 pm."
"Oh my, Kim got into a fight"?
Yeah, maybe it's one of those mean girls, I'll go make lunch.
"Amanda,I know you are worried about Kim and everything but we are going to make it through".
"I know,but I am worried she is going to find out what we are. We drink and eat what other people don't Mark, we never let Kim into our room because we have a huge fridge of blood bags what if she finds out, I'm scared Mark."
Don't worry Amanda, when she is at school tomorrow we'll go back to that old castle and find the witch and maybe she'll help us, we'll be there at 10:00 am.

At 5:30 pm,Kim was walking back home from school with her friend Maddison Charles. Maddison was the same age as Kim and as intelligent as Kim, they were the only two students who had a double promotion to grade 7. Her parents left her with her grandmother and never came back for her.

"Maddy,I think my parents are hiding something from me".
"You think, its pretty obvious,they're hiding something". "I live with my grandma and I barely know anything about my parents cause they left me when I was an infant".
"Have you noticed anything about them that is like strange",asked Maddison.

"Yeah, at the dinner table, my mom was just about to start serving us dinner and all of a sudden she started stammering,so did my dad that was when I heard the CURSE.
Anything else? asked Maddy.
Ummm,they always keep their room locked, well that's usual. I've never been inside the room before.
"Have you ever tried looking".
No,it's always locked.

"Try something,"don't you remember the hack we watched on my laptop. That you can open a door with a tennis ball and a lighter. Now, that I remember Grams keeps her room locked too, but Naah, I don't think grams is hiding something, but before I thought gramma was my mom.
"My mom is very young".

They finally reached home they were neighbors cause Maddy lived next door.
"See you later Maddy.
Bye Kim.

Kim knocked there was no response Then she picked up a spare key her mom had given to her she got inside The house.
"There was a note lying on The dinner Table "your dad was called for work and I went to the grocery store stay indoors we will be back as soon as possible "Kim dropped her bag and went to Maddys,"Hey Maddy my parents aren't around.
"Yeah so is my grandma".
"Come let's go in my house,please asked Kim.
"I don't know, but okay ".

They were already in the house.
"I'm hungry,Maddy".
What am I supposed to do about it, Maddy asked.
"I'm going to make a quick salad,before mom's done making dinner,
"KK".
"Don't you think now is the right time to search the room,well I'm just saying".
"Yeah great idea Maddy, completely forgot we had that conversation. Get me a lighter and a tennis ball.
"KK".

Maddy got the things and rushed back to Kim.
Just then Maddy was called by her grandmother.

"I'll be right back Kim,grams calling me."
Kim on the other hand, was trying to get the door open.
Kim got the door open, and had a little scream of joy. She found something on the floor that looked like thyme and she picked it up, then she saw a huge fridge suddenly she opened it up and saw the fridge was full of blood bags, Kim gasped, just then her mom came in and shouted, NO!!!!!.She looked into Kimberly's eyes and told her forget everything you just saw and never remember it.
"Mom,I'm tired so I can't help you with dinner I ate a salad when you and dad were out so I'm not hungry goodnight mom."
Kim quickly got on her computer and googled what compulsion was because she was confused about what just happened and it showed her the following:
Compulsion is a mind controlling ability used by vampires and its the means of making someone forget something that's happened, vampires worst enemy is a witch and are also afraid of bervane.

Kim zoomed in on the bervane and it looked exactly like what she called thyme this was when it was getting freaky so she texted Maddy and told her exactly everything she saw in the room and on the internet too.

"Do you have any proof of what you found on the internet" asked Maddison.
"Yeah,".
And sent her a screenshot of what she had found online.
"Oh no, it's unraveling slowly and the truth is almost out" said Maddy.
"Yeah".

"I want to tell you something Kim".
"I'm listening".
"I have been having visions lately I see the future like when I stepped on your toe I saw that you were going to be in detention, but after I heard you were in detention, I was like what am I,I didn't tell you cause you'd think I was going crazy or something was wrong with me.
"Maddy, you are my best friend I would never think that of you, okay, put it in your mind goodnight ".
"Goodnight".

At school Kim and Maddy were discussing things thier future, past and present.

At home they were getting ready for the witch, they got ready and got into the car before Mark started driving.
"Amanda asked, what if she doesn't help us what are we going to do".
"I hate to say this but we would have to let Kim go".

They were in an old castle outside middle town and they were in front of the door but she knew that they were here.

"Ohhh,the vampires ".
"We need your help Felicia".
"Let me guess your daughter".
"Yes, but the CURSE is almost over in 3 months we will be dead that's the deadline".
"I think we had agreement if Kim ever found out she would be dead".
"Yes, and we've tried to keep it from her, l think I know who is helping Kim uncover our secret, its about your daughter.
"I'm listening".
"We are begging you we just need a little more time, l wanna be in her life for more than 15 years".
"Like how much time".
"At least 15 more years".
"Your wish is granted,you may leave."
They stood up to Leave.
"One more thing, keep Maddy away from Kim."
