After a long and arduous day of school, Lily went to sleep. She dreamed about the final moments of seeing Evy take the cab to the concert. A tear streamed down Lily's cheek. Then, she heard a voice. Listening more intently, she realized it was Evelyn's voice, telling her not to cry.
Lily found herself standing in a dark tunnel. The only light came from the end of the tunnel. Lily, curious of the source, walked few steps before realizing that a lake stretched in front of her. There was no way for her to cross it. She held back tears as panic slowly flooded her.
She sat don and gazed at the ceiling of the tunnel. A weak but steady flame was floating. Then, it became the body of a girl. Lily approached the young lady, ondering if she could be of any help. She gasped. It was none other than Evy.
"Evy...", whispered Lily. "Is that really you?"
The girl turned, and her face instantly brightened at the sight of her visitor. She smiled wide.
"Lily! I missed you so much!"
Lily started crying out of joy. After the death of her friend, Lily hadn't shed a tear in a while. She was practically emotionless. Now that she saw her friend again, her emotions resurfaced.
"We have to go across the lake", said Evy.
"I know. But how? There aren't any boats or anything to let us cross."
"Trust me, I know what to do."
Evelyn summoned a boat, to Lily's greatest surprise. She never believe in magic, and yet, witnessing her frined's feat amazed her. They managed to cross the lake safely.
